Do you notice less people carrying LV?

Yes! I've noticed the same thing.. if i do see an LV, or any other designer purse, it's on a woman who is 35-40+. (I am 43 so I fit the demographic I'm seeing ) I am wondering if designer purses are fading out for the younger generation.
I’m 37 so definitely in that demo as well! Yeah it’s crazy because I remember my girlfriends and fellow gays all clamoring for handbags (Coach at a minimum, Louis at max) and now I see a ton of lulu belt bags. I also forgot to add that I also see a ton of the ubiquitous Marc Jacobs tote. My little sister (33) told me she probably won’t ever go past the MJ/Kate Spade price point unless she saves for a LV.

Crazy how fast those Lulu belt bags took over, right?!

And my 13 year old daughter's best friend just bought herself the small Marc Jacobs tote bag! She's the youngest person I've seen carrying one.

I always saw tons of people carrying LV bags wherever I go in middle class to up middle classic areas, the second popular believe it or not is Gucci, then YSL, then few Chanel & Hermes, and a few weeks ago I saw someone carrying a Balenciaga Neo CAGOLE XS

Whoever designed that tote for MJ and the lulu bag really knocked it out of the park in terms of creating a hot item. The belt really did take over. I have a friend who has maybe 5-6 of them. Which, to each their own, at a very affordable price point it’s hard not to do that.

You know, I do have to say that I have seen a surprising uptick in the amount of YSL bags I see around here too. It’s not often but even my boyfriend pointed one out the other day.

I live in a major city, but don't live in the city center. In my neighborhood, I mainly see LV, YSL and Gucci but I do see a fair share of lululemon belt bags, but mainly on the teens. When I go into the city center, I will see all the designers including Chanel, H, and others. But will also see lots of Lululemon belt bags on tourists and teens.

As for carrying LV. I tend to carry LV and my Longchamp for errands and daily wear. Every once in a while I will carry a chanel or H bag. But I mainly use those on weekends for whatever reason.

And I do have a small collection of Lulu belt bags too. LOL I usually wear them when walking the dog or doing a quick sbux run or to the gym.

There are no designer stores within an hour of where I live. Used to be an LV store nearby that closed a few years ago. That was the go-to spot for last minute Bday and Xmas gifts from boyfriends/husbands. DIL received an LV something every year, as well as most of her friends. Since the store closed, most gifts are ordered online so there’s more Gucci, Dior, etc., branched out to more brands since everything has to be ordered anyway. I see less and less LV when out shopping now, Neverfuls mostly. DIL still uses her Neverful as an everyday bag, ‘cause it holds a lot for 3 small kids. Haven’t noticed the Lululemon belt bags, but now I’ll be looking for them. I do see a ton of Coach.

I live near the countryside and don't really see many LVs around in general, but in the nearest big city I'd say I see as many as I normally do.

I don't really buy into trends, unless I happen to genuinely like a popular item, and I certainly wouldn't be embarrassed to carry a bag cheaper than an LV. I have had lots of inexpensive, wonderfully made bags over the years. Frankly the quality I've seen on some more recent Vuitton products versus the quality I've experienced with much cheaper items is quite alarming.

I have honestly never heard of lululemon bags before. But now I realized that I kind of bought a similar one for running. They seem very practical.
I still see lots of people wearing LV in the city. Mostly Pochette Metis, Speedy, Alma BB. But we also have a huge LV Flagship store in the center so the city is also full of orange shopping bags being carried around. :giggle:

The MJ Tote is very popular! It's so carefree with its material it seems.

I love Lulu for their bags, bigger bags too, especially for their price point during sales. They don't go super cheap usually in my experience but maybe up to 25% off

I live in Midwest America but also in a college town: Ann Arbor, MI. I see about a dozen of the lulu belt bags daily and on anyone from younger college girls (and guys), guys muy age are using them as a safe way to carry a purse, and it’s also being carried by everyone’s mom and grandma. When I was in college (early 2000s), I saw a ton of designer bags (Louis, Gucci, and Prada were very big around UofM) but now I really don’t see any. The younger generations around me don’t seem to care for the bags like my generation did.
Hey I live around the same area and I agree with you. A lot of young people will not wear designer bags. I see so many Lululemons. In other areas, I do see a lot of LV particularly pochette metis and Neverfulls. If you go to high end mall in Troy area, you will see some Chanels, Dior (few), and Hermes (rarely).
