I dread using my new bags!! I love them so much when I buy them that I don't want to use them for fear of messing them up! I currently have two BRAND NEW YSL's, one Chanel, and a couple of Goldenbleu bags that I have had for months, and can't bring myself to use!! What da heck is wrong with me? :confused1:

Well I live in Seattle and you never know some days when it might rain so I carry an XL plastic cover whenever I leave the house. Here’s the story why...

It was a bright sunny day downtown Seattle, still a little chilly but nice. All of a sudden it started to pour! That day I was carrying my chanel gst!! I flipped out:wtf:,it was my first chanel!!! I ran under a covered doorway sooo fast.I took my grey aa crew neck sweater off and bundled up my bag(didn’t even hesitate,it was like 2nd nature). I walked the 4 blocks to my car with a white cami on and my bra showing through carrying my chanel like a baby...People were starring at me as I waited at the cross walk. I didn’t care if I looked silly. If they only knew the precious cargo I was carrying. Plus any bag addict would do the same thing?lol...Not so weird to us right? ha

So because of that eventful few minutes I never leave home with out a plastic cover, in the past I would carry plastic covers occasionally cuz I do own some gucci bags and my fav balenciaga of all time and couple LV but this day I just didn’t think about it. Now its like I don’t leave without my keys, my wallet, vaseline(even if thats not what im wearing that day) and a plastic cover for my bag in case it rains(essentials)...I’m actually thinking about getting some of those disposable ponchos for added protection like plastic over my plastic :thinkin:..
People think I’m odd when I whip out the XL plastic protection bag but I don’t care! Ha:laugh:

I glare at people who bump into my bags more so than if they bumped into my person! When I'm in crowded areas (think NYC times square), I cradle my bag in front of me to prevent aforementioned bumpage, and also to prevent pickpockets but that's just a bonus

My DH puts his wallet in my purse when we're out and about because he has fancy-pants pockets that don't hold his wallet well, or so he claims. Yesterday he grabbed my Speedy 30 and said, "Hey can you get my wallet out of there?" (BTW he knows not to dig around in my purse to mess up my perfect organization :D) So, I got his wallet out, handed my bag back to him and he tossed it on the love seat by our bed. Though it landed perfectly I was like, ":wtf: Don't throw my Louis!!!"

I pretty much can't stand it when anyone other than myself or my DH touches my bags. I mean even touching of the outside to feel the fabric or the handles. NO TOUCHY!!!!! :push:

Ladies, let's get this into perspective

: I don't think it weird to care for something dear to you. Isn't it somehow weirder to actually have more than xx bags, and to spend xxx on each one?
My little follies are, besides this weird collectors drive - I just need THAT bag. Btw, I just hate being asked what a bag costs and how many I have
- I never put them on the ground outside (if I need my hands I squeeze her (right) between my ankles)
- My cats (whom I dearly love) are not even allowed to look at them
- I stuff them every time I take another bag with tissue paper (the paper matches the lining of course)
- I take it very personally when someone bumps into my bag (usual comment: this bag ist worth as much as your left kidney - to me at least)
my bags sit, they never lie (try this with a Venetia)
- At work I have a box, where they spend the day on to be looked at

and of course they are petted, heavily collonilled and I carry a plastic bag with the more delicate specimens. Pretty unsual behaviour, right?

The first thing I do when I get a bag is inspect every single part of the bag I inhale the leather several times. I love the leather smell!
Never, ever does my bag get put on the floor of my car..Never! It always sits on the passenger seat, and if someone is sitting there, depending on the person, my bag will be placed in their lap. Otherwise, my bag will be sat on the backseat.
When I have a python bag, I'm always running my hands over it, like it were an actual snake!
I hate for people to touch my exotic bags, no real reason, I just don't like it.

I can't stand it when someone bumps into my purse. I also smell it...stare at it...touch it...LOL how weird! Christmas Eve we were at DH's aunt's house- my new Dooney was sitting on a chair...and his niece sat down beside it...and I was afraid she would spill something on it so I claimed to have a headache so I could get my purse to get some motrin...then I took it out to the car and locked it up! I'm freaky when it comes to my bags...when I am finished using one I will stuff it with paper (to keep the shape) and wrap it in some more paper then put it in a dustbag.

I can't seem to keep all my handbags in the closet... there's at least 2 hanging out in the bedroom and 4 handbags perched in various spots in the room I'm in now. It's almost like they are on display.

With my LV bags, I look through all the stitching and alignment and take pictures of the new bags.

When I suffer from insomnia, all I look at are sites like zappos.com or ebags.com in search of the perfect bag, sometimes for hours. Maybe that is the real reason for suffering insomnia?
