i love my arm candies aka bags like crazy..They are treated like princesses, so sniffing and carassing are some of the usual stuff that I do. I actually have a montly cleaning ritual for all 20 odd bags that I have. Usually starts at 12am and goes on for abt 3hours in the wee hrs? I got myself a tod's new eight media bag recently. The care card says, dry immediately if in contact with water as the leather may swell or cause water spots. It rained the other day when I was out!!! So my umbrella was more for sheltering the bag than me. hahha. Do you think non-bag lovers would think I am obssessed if I dab the bag dry in public?heee

I cracked up laughing at this one! Too funny! I have been guilty of this also and think, "people must think I'm crazy or else have a weird curviture of the spine!"
I just thought of another one of mine...If i am out to eat, I refuse to put my bag on the floor. If I am out to eat with a group of 3 people, I will insist I get the booth side to myself so I can put my bag in the booth next to me. Sometimes though there will be 4 of us, I am too scared to put my baby in my lap (I might drop food on her!) so I put her behind my back and just have the edge of my butt on the seat. I will sit uncomfortably to keep my bag safe.

Also, my entire family knows the names of my bags. Like we call my rebecca minkoff "my nikki" or my rebecca minkoff matinee is my "my mattie"....they know the lingo :roflmfao:

i am glad i am not the only one who shares her seat with her bag!! lol it's a pain, but it's worth it for my babies :p

about 3 weeks ago i went to neiman marcus with my cousin. she isn't a bag lover, but she knows about my obsession. anyway i was making her smell the leather on a bag that smelled kinda funky and she said "that sales lady is staring at us smelling the leather, i am so embarassed!"...i was like "oh who cares, it's normal!" then it dawned on me, MAYBE IT'S NOT NORMAL.

For me, i will also not put my bag down on any floor when i'm out. At restaurants or the movies i will put it in a chair next to me and if there is not one, it's in my lap. When i'm shopping, i will not put my bag down on countertops (like at the register, etc...); too many greasy smuggies and who knows what else! (eww):yucky:

:roflmfao:
so glad im not the only one... If im out with hubby and just HAVE to use the public restroom, my baby does not come in with me, she stays outside with hubby. If im alone i'll just wait till i get home, or if i have to use those hooks, i have to anti-bacterial the shoulder strap when i get home :)
I also will never put my bag on the floor thats just gross, i try and keep my bags as clean as possible :)

when i go out to a restaraunt if at all possible i try to put my bag in it's own chair and push it all the way under the table as i'm crazy paranoid about a waiter accidentally spilling something on it... if i HAVE to hang my bag on the back of the chair then i hang it on the side where waiters or other patrons are least likely to walk... i used to think i was so slick but my husband has caught on to me...

My weird bag behavior:

I take my new bag's photo. (partly for insurance purposes)
I buy the small accessories of new to me designers first to get a feel for them.
Also, my small accessories, no matter what color the bag ends up being, are usually pink.

Sniff sniff, hug hug.
Sometimes I will pause while changing to hug my softest leather bag, because it feels better against bare skin! :shame:

also, i refer to my best bag as "my baby"... you should've seen my boyfriend's face when he first heard that, lol. "what baby?!"

Haha, I call all my bags my babies! It gets me some weird looks :shame:

I've arranged my bag on top of my jacket at the back of a room once when I was presenting, just so I could glance at it every now and then so I wouldn't get nervous during my talk! :roflmfao:
