Since all the other bags that i had were stolen. Now when i get a bag i hardly ever put it down. I keep my eye on it as much as i keep my eye on my son.I have to be very cautious now. I always hold it in my lap if im sitting. Also I nose dive into my purses when i first get it. And I never put it on the floor my mom told me its bad luck to put your purse on the floor because you'll never keep money in it. I know sounds really weird but that was past on to her from her mother. lol! Oh! and my bag has to be close to me even at work at my desk i dont put it in a draw it sit on the desk next to me where i can see.

Everything has a place in my bag. My keys always sit in the same spot in the bag. My wallet is always in the same pocket. Very OCD. Also, I always place a paper towel under my bag if I set it on a countertop.

I have to take a new handbag out to lunch or dinner, or some place nice for her first outing. It must be special.

I refer to my handbags as "her" or "the girls".

My dogs are allowed anywhere in the house, but my closet. I don't want hair on their sleeper bags. It would gross me out, big time.

I carry a plastic bag in my handbags, just in case it rains.

OMG I pet my bags all the time! LOL I have even had people feel her leather.

I wrap the tassels to keep them straight when they are in their sleepers.

I am sure there are a lot more silly things.

I just thought of another one of mine...If i am out to eat, I refuse to put my bag on the floor. If I am out to eat with a group of 3 people, I will insist I get the booth side to myself so I can put my bag in the booth next to me. Sometimes though there will be 4 of us, I am too scared to put my baby in my lap (I might drop food on her!) so I put her behind my back and just have the edge of my butt on the seat. I will sit uncomfortably to keep my bag safe.

Also, my entire family knows the names of my bags. Like we call my rebecca minkoff "my nikki" or my rebecca minkoff matinee is my "my mattie"....they know the lingo :roflmfao:

I do the same thing! :nuts:

When I first get it (bringing it home, or in the mail) I like to sit on my bed, take it out of the bag/box, and admire it in the mirror.

I'm your opposite. My BF is my bag holder while I'm driving and has my bag in his lap. Besides, isn't it rather dangerous to have a sizable bag in your lap while you're driving?

I think that is why it counts as her weird bag behavior, she would rather have the danger of driving with it on her than have her boyfriend hold it! that is what i got from her post anyway :yes:

Well with me once I get a new bag, I will introduce the new bag to it's siblings(the other bags):wtf: That's right you heard me I treat all of my bags like they are my children. And if I'm driving with DH and the boys with me then I will have DH hold my bag in his lap and if it look like he's gonna put my bag on the floor in the car I will go off on him... LOL

BigPurseSue, it is dangerous not only to you, but to others on the road if you keep your bag in your lap while driving. I tried that before and the bag got caught under the steering wheel and prevented me from being able to steer. Please reconsider keeping your bag in your lap, not only for your sake, but for all of us out there on the road.

I make my DH watch my bag if we're in a public place and I need to walk away from it. I usually put my bag on a chair and if I'm going to the restroom or something I'll take it with me. But if I don't feel like carrying it, I'll make him promise not to move.

when i get bored sometimes i will dump everything out and reorganize my bag quite a few times before i set it down and leave it alone again. and i sniff leather bags as well.

After I open a new bag and check it out I place it on the dresser that is in my view at the foot of the bed. I stare at it for days and turn in around and stare some more. just gazing and taking it in.
