i come home, try all the outfits that would match my bag..modelling it i guess..and then for the next 3 times i go out, im so cautious with it... and then..to be honest..the bag starts getting used to sitting on floors... and sometimes when i see the bag from underneath it breaks my heart especially since most bags now cost me over 2grand..oh wells... but i love love love my bags to bits still!
I always carry a plastic bag with me just in case it rains. People always gives me funny looks when I take out the plastic bag and put my handbag in there when it's raining.
Sometimes when I take out my handbag to look at, I tell her how hot and amazing she is. :blink: I know it's very very strange.

Ok, glad to know I fit right in here. While I don't carry a protective bag with me, my bags are all lined up in special places in either my closet or in my armoire. I file their tags/cards in a labeled envelope in a shoebox. I print the label on the computer and glue it on the envelope. I take them out just to look at them and smell them. I can't buy a bag if it doesn't smell good. So far Coach Legacy leather (the black) and Jimmy Choo are the best. I have been known to sleep with one occasionally at night (I'm not married anymore! no, it's not because I sleep with bags). I leave my Chloe on my bed or my bedroom doorknob 24/7 like a piece of art so I can look at her and feel her. I change my bag every day to go with my outfit, unlike a few years ago when I switched back and forth between 2 black purses, small and large.
I have different behaviors depending on the bag itself. If its a new bag that was ordered online, and I am the first one to touch it then I can't help but touch it and smell it continuously! I love the leather smell!
If its a bag from a store where other people have obviously picked it up and touched, the first thing I do is wipe it off. If its a very strong leather like Coach, I will use a clorox wipe. On more delicate leathers I just use baby wipes or leather lotion.
After that, I will usually move all of my stuff from my current bag into my new one if I am planning to use it right away. I love to organize everything so that it is in just the right position. Once I get everything right, it will finally get put down.

I'm guilty of taking my bags out from time to time to smell, touch, and stare at them. I also never let my nicer bags see the light of day for fear that they will get dirty or damaged. My friends think I am absolutely nuts and I am inclined to agree with them. 
I smell my leather bags too! :shame: I really can't help it, the smell is so addicting. I'll be at home watching TV or on the computer, and my bag will be right next to me, and I'll just take a good long whiff every few minutes. I also fondle and pet her.
I never let my husband hold my bag. He's a dear and I love him to pieces but he's a careless slob extraordinaire. For instance when I'm in the car I place my bag on the seat beside me. But if he's in the seat beside me I keep my bag safely on my lap, even if I'm the one who's driving. Even if I'm carrying a $10 bag off ebay, the DH isn't allowed to touch it. It stays on my lap.
I won't put my bag on the floor or over the chair in a restaurant. I have a little purse hook that I always use. My MIL found it in a boutique, but there's a website for them: http://luxelink.com/ It's the best purse accessory ever!
When stopped at redlights, I pick up my bag, hold it, feel the leather. God forbid if anyone at work read this, lol
I also have my bags in my armoire and at night will open it just to peek at my beautiful bags. I have all the receipts hidden in there too. It's like my private goldmine.
