Dior Fine Jewelry

I'm considering the MOP Rose des Vents as my first fine jewelry purchase! I'd love to get it for regular wear but am scared about the MOP. How has it held up for you?
The ring is perfect. The necklace I don’t take off when showering or swimming so there is definitely wear on the MOP side as I wear it with the RdV side facing out. It is very minimal wear though and I have been very happy with my purchases!

New to me, Christian Dior Diorette ring with aquamarine and amethyst, pink sapphire, yellow sapphire, and tsavorite with enamel.

I saw the amethyst version of this ring in Rome in 2012 and become so enamoured with it. It was totally out of my price range and i never forgot how beautiful it was. I was relaxing and saw an advert for an auction of this one and managed to get it for 1/3 of the retail from 12 years ago. Also it was my size which surprised me as the ring is not resizeable.

So happy and excited.

What a great story! You definitely were meant to own this very beautiful and special piece.

This is one of my favourite rings, ever! Congratulations on getting it for such a good price!

Have you noticed any shrink of the MOP with the water exposure? I just got one about a few weeks ago (the necklace!). I know with VCA they say you shouldn't shower with it because it'll shrink. Also do you have any issues with dirt/etc getting stuck in the little crevices of the necklace?

I have many pieces from Dior Rose Celeste collection as well as Van Cleef Alhambra, Lucky Spring, Socrate, and Cartier Clash and Love, and they are all very different. IMO,

Dior fine jewellery = looks very dainty (even when you wear something with multiple motifs, rather than looking tacky/over-branded) and adds a touch of femininity. It's rarer than Alhambra or Love, and to me they are more artistic pieces than simply jewellery, therefore you're unlikely to see copies. I have never ever seen anyone wearing the same Dior Rose Celeste 5 motif necklace or bracelet that I have, and people always ask where they are from. The double-sidedness of rose celeste collection also gives you more options. I always wear my earring moon on one side and sun on the other. People sense that my jewellery must be expensive but very few know that they are Dior.

Van Cleef = timeless, easy to wear and surprisingly weightless for its size, you can really wear every day any day without thinking twice about the outfit. Van Cleef MOP is shinier and has more lustre than Dior's, easier to wipe clean as well. But very commonly seen and easily copied, which is why I prefer Lucky Spring and Socrate collection.

Cartier = They do solid gold pieces of jewellery really well. Between the three (Dior, VCA, Cartier) of them, Cartier reminds me the most of modern Parisian women. They did such simple things to solid gold to make them super cool.

That is a great summary, and gorgeous bracelet! Do you have other mod shots you can post of it, or other pieces? I am so obsessed with the rose celeste collection, and I love seeing it on people! I have the short (16.5") necklace, one of the longer necklaces, and I just purchased a pair of earrings on Vestiaire (waiting for them to ship).

I absolutely love this piece! Do you find it comfortable to wear? Do you think its durable enough for every day?
Isn't it gorgeous?! I would say yes to everyday wear. However, I don't sleep / shower / swim in it, like I do with some other pieces.

To be honest, wearing it doubled isn't super comfy, as I find that the chain kind of tightens around my neck throughout the day, so I have to adjust it alot. But I love the look so much, that I just deal with it haha. I would have liked to have been able to double the chain through the pendant, in order to prevent having to wrap it around my neck, like the picture below. However, it doesn't fit through (like the jump ring at the end of the chain is too big to thread through the pendant, so you can't remove the pendant to a different chain either). This picture below is of the next size up. If I had known, I might have gone with that one (and I still might, eventually!).

However, I did save almost $2K off of the $7K retail price, as I snagged it on The Real Real, so I just had to get it when I saw it on there! I want to experiment with wearing it longer, layered with some other pieces as well.

Thank you so much for replying! I was planning to wear it just like on picture, good to know I will not be able too... Ugh, I wished I could take it off and wear with a different chain... they should have made it in a way you can double chain at least... I tried the bigger size an it looked too big... The one you have is perfect size. Oh well. Maybe I will go to the store and try it again... My other option is VCA Alahambra pave pendant, which is cheaper the Dior... But I just love Dior look...
