My NYC small pouch is finally done! Here is the before and after.

I'm currently working on a gray camera bag and BT belt bag. ...those reveals to come.

Great job bigal and a lovely colour.

I'm working on a Camera Bag too. They are a surprisingly big bag.

Hey! There is your gorgeous bleeker duffle. It's beautiful! It looks just like mine. Would you say mine it rust, rather than red? I'm thinking of applying a coat of Obenauf's so I don't affect the color. What do you think? There are a few scratches and one small spot that u think will fade away with the Obenauf's. Inside is spotless.

Gorgeous colour, definitely not red.

Thanks! I think it's funny that the hangtag is stamped crooked just like the sage one in catalog from that time period.

The camera bag is about the same size as my Sutton. It's a really great size. What color is your camera bag? Mine is gray if I didn't mention that before.

I was reading about the Bleeker Duffles like mine and there is a rust and a burgundy. So, mine has to be rust. It does look red in some lights, I love it! Best of all it was only $5. Just can't believe that!

My Camera Bag is navy blue. I'm also working on another two navy blue bags. A NYC Basic Bag and a NYC Slim Satchel that was listed as black, I thought was possibly grey, but now it's been dunked is definitely navy blue!

Your Bleeker has to be rust. That is one of the deals of 2014!

Ooo, I like navy. It's a great color with jeans! So easy, understated.

It certainly is a JOODLZ kind of find if there ever was one!

Hello JOODLZ,
Thank you for the info on pages 348 and 363 - you did such a beautiful job rehabbing this bag. Such a pretty color. Now I have a game plan to rehab my bag. I'm not as nervous now after seeing that it can be done.

Do you use a spray protector? I have Apple Garde Rain & Stain.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to help me. I'll let you know in a few weeks
after I give a go.

Mary

You're welcome...and thanks for your compliments...I've never used any spray protectors...maybe others will comment.

Congrats on a beautiful job...those light colors can be tough...well done!

My rehab schedule is kind of upside-down right now, but closing in on a few...a black Tribeca tote and a Saddlery Bag, a navy Lindsay bag, a taupe Shoulder Pouch and a really cool, tiny wallet, probably mahogany. Hopefully will get a few pics over the weekend...

Hi y'all, I've just received a new to me Phoebe in Dark Plume and she has the ickiest musty smell to her! The last one I had that arrived like that, I gave a vinegar bath (khaki siggy print w/ berry patent trim, y'all helped!!) but this one is all leather so I'm not sure I can get away with doing that.

From experience, dryer sheets hardly made a dent on this smell on the last one, so I'd love wisdom on how to make her smell pretty again...

Someone recommended Smelleze. I've never tried it. I have tried Zero Odor and Febreze Free and Natural. You can wipe down the leather with a spray; a little liquid won't hurt the leather. You can also pull out the lining and give that a washing. You should make sure there isn't any active mold growing. Airing outside in the sun is another good way to kill mold.

You should also consider whether you got a good enough deal to put up with the smell, which you should be able to eradicate, but may take quite awhile, or if you should just return it.

So I tried getting a new hangtag at the factory store to put on my dinky bag, and got a black one but with a silver ball chain. Not quite going to work but I'm going to hold onto it in case I need it in the future.

I tried getting a new turnlock for my Lenox with the broken prong at my local FP store, but I think I got a new person by herself and she said that I'd have to send it in for $20. I decided on a whim I would shoot Coach an email before spending $8 on a turnlock from eBay. I totally lucked out and now they're getting ready to send me a new one at no charge :smile1: So if this happens to anyone else...just send Coach an email through their website and problem solved! (Fingers crossed that they can also come through on a similar hangtag as well.)

I agree dryer sheets or febreeze don't make a difference if the bag is that Yucky..airing it out for for as long as possible is a start..Then COFFEE!!..put a couple scoops of coffee in something like a pair of old stockings..just cut off the feet & tie them up..or buy some knee highs..Put the puse with the coffee in a plastic bag & close it up good, then change out the coffee every couple days..once the bag smells like coffee, you need to get rid of the coffee smell..get one of those Arm&hammer refrigerator packs & close up the bag in a plastic again.( I like the fridge packs because you don't have to worry abut the baking soda spilling).I've had sucess with this method SEVERAL times..It takes about a month..I've used this method AFTER washing the bag..You might want to try using Natures Miracle(from a pet store)to wash the bag with..If it can get out the smell of CAT pee..it can neutralize most smells!! I have probs with chemicals & but I've also had buyers that were extremely allergic to perfumes etc, so I stay away from them..I've also used different citrus oils(I love Tangerine) on cotton balls..Whole cloves..tea tree oil,lavender.. whatever you have handy I've tried the smelly stuff, it just gives me a headache...
Hope that Helps!! CHEERS !!:snowballs:Sheri
