Not yet. PayPal sent me an email that they’ve requested “more information” from her. She refuses to admit the bag is polished & thinks Im trying to keep it for free. When I opened my PayPal claim, I checked the “willing to return” option which shows in the claim details & I sent her a message saying I didn’t wanna keep the bag.
I will update on the outcome when I hear back from PayPal. I plan to fight this until I exhaust all my options.

Good for you! It’s not just the money it’s the frustration of being deceived. I once bought a bag at a local thrift shop but the TPF Authenticators told me it was fake.
It wasn’t expensive but I didn’t like buying a fake. I didn’t want to short the so when I took it back I offered to do an exchange for other goods.
They didn’t care that it was fake and adamantly refused the return. Another customer butted in on the argument on the side of the shopkeepers so they were all against me.
I kept arguing until they finally agreed to do a refund, but they took my name and told me “never come back here again!” I didn’t have a problem with that!
They even denied me candy! There was a bowl of free butterscotch pieces on the counter and I started to reach for one while waiting for my refund. The cashier yelled at me to “You put that back, don’t you dare take any of our candy!” I was okay with that, too!
It was a British Tan Scooter bag and later I found a genuine one for a cheaper price and I still have it.
So stick to your principles because you know that you are right!
I'm just so sad this is happening to you! Especially with a HG bag!![]()
Can you send some of that willpower over to me girl?!![]()
Wow!!! Why was the customer getting involved like that? I would be so annoyed by the whole drama of it all but being denied candy is taking the biscuit. I Would have taken my refund, all the candies and ran. You're banned anyway, what have you got to loseGood for you! It’s not just the money it’s the frustration of being deceived. Moving forward. When this is resolved. I think you'll not accept anything less delivered to you then what you were hoping for. Can't wait for this to be resolved for you so that you can move on. Unfortunately some people are just idiots and are incapable of understanding a different perspective.Im so sorry you had to go through that in person! Good riddance on the ban, a place like that doesn’t deserve your business.
Yea, I feel full on scammed. This whole situation has somewhat soured me on wanting to find another black Winnie, at least until I don’t feel so sad about it. Considering how much I help people find/get bags, this is the biggest comical FU from the universe![]()

Some people have sprayed them with prespray and run them through the washer. What bag is it and when was it made?I recently picked up a canvas Coach from eBay and it’s MUCH dirtier than it looked in the pictures. I really like the style and haven’t seen any other bags pop up like it, so I’m going to keep it and do my best to make it presentable again. I’ve used the blue upholstery cleaner already with minimal success. Are there any other stain removers you swear by?

What annoys me is that no one pointed out to the store owners that they were committing a felony.

Thank you so very much, Gingerone! This gives me a perfect starting point while still browsing other posts. Much appreciated!!Hello! I saw no one replied to you so I thought I would just give you a basic outline of how to rehab a bag. Your bag seems like it's in good shape so it will probably be an easy rehab.
Supplies you will need: mild dish soap, towels, and leather conditioner without silicone (leather CPR is good). I use Dawn, Leather CPR and then Blackrock's leather n' rich
Basically you want to shake the bag out to get any loose things out, then soak the bag in room temp water with a small squirt of dawn dish soap (it is important that the soap be mild). I soak bags for about 20 minutes. After the bag is saturated, use a rag/washcloth to gently wipe down and clean the whole bag, especially the nooks and crannies in pockets etc. Don't scrub the outside leather too hard as you can damage the leather; the inside suede you can be a bit more aggressive with. Let it soak for the 20 minutes, then rinse and soak with clean water to get all the soap out (shorter time). Pat the bag dry when it is all rinsed and place it on a towel to dry stuffed loosely to shape it with rags/towels (for a small bag cleaning cloths or dishcloths work well. For the inside pocket of your bag (basic bag) I generally use a piece of folded up paper towel so that the pocket doesn't get distorted. After a few hours- it depends on how the individual bag dries - take the towels out and let it finish air drying. Move the bag around a bit while drying so that all parts get dried.
I generally start to condition the bag while it is still slightly damp. Here on the forum Leather CPR is the favoured conditioner and that is what I use - it's easy to apply and doesn't change the color of the leather, important with a light colored bag such as yours. It is also very conditioning. Apply the conditioner to all the smooth leather sides to remoisturize after the bath and let the bag dry for a day. You can reapply conditioner several times depending on the condition and dryness of the bag. Generally, after all the coats of conditioner, people here advise using blackrocks leather n rich as a finishing protective coat. This is a conditioner that has some wax in it and it is especially good at bringing back the edges of bags and evening out color. When using blackrocks apply it very very sparingly and follow the instructions to wipe off afterwards to avoid the leather getting tacky. After the blackrocks has dried you then buff the bag (I use a microfiber cloth) and then admire the shine on your bag
And then you are done! I just wrote this very quickly, so please check this section of the forum for more tips. Hopefully I didn't forget anything. *Leather CPR and blackrocks are avail on amazon and both last a long time.
