A while back I bought a snow white leather bag I needed for a special occasion. The bag arrived with the end, along with all the holes, cut off. There was no time to hunt another snowy, so I wound up carrying my embroidered clutch - VERY aggrevating. I did get my money back though and now have a bag I do not know what to do with :annoyed: . I hate to throw it out as it is a perfectly fine bag, so probably will bring it to the leather shop, and see if they can fix it.
That's frustrating, you really don't want to go hunting for something when you have a million things to do. A good leather shop/ cobbler is always a great find. You could always see what a fellow coach collector would do to it.

What leather cleaner/conditioner can I use on the leather parts of this canvas wallet that won’t stain/discolor the canvas? I was looking at purchasing CPR, but perhaps there’s a better choice?

Leather CPR is a great conditioner but you would have to be careful applying it. You might try Lexol Conditioner Wipes, see link below. This is a light, clear conditioner (not a white cream like CPR) and it may be easier to control the application when using a wipe.

I use Lexol to maintain bags before putting them into storage and also when I am rehabbing a delicate bag and I am afraid to use anything heavy. It has an odor but that dissipates pretty quickly.

I deleted my post last night but Im very upset this morning with the seller’s response. I received this black Winnie yesterday & it’s completely covered in shoe polish. It feels like hard plastic, there are cracks all over the leather- piping, handle, above the turn lock etc. from the polish drying out the leather. The smell is an extremely strong chemical smell as well. The seller refuses to admit she polished the bag & is claiming the strong smell is just moth balls from storage. I opened a dispute on PayPal & she is still continuing to lie. I asked her before buying if anything was applied to the bag at all, she said no.

She sent me a picture of the conditioners she uses this morning & one of them is a bottle of leather CPR. Are you a member here? If so, you should be absolutely ashamed of yourself for doing this to somebody & then lying about it:

You guys see what Im talking about right? I feel like Im being gaslit.

^ I wanted to give an update on what happened with the polished black Winnie refund:

After frustratingly dealing with PayPal & my bank, the case was closed in my favour. I reached out to the seller about sending me a return shipping label but got no response. I then sent her another message saying I would be more than happy to return her bag if she sends me payment for shipping. I told her I don’t want to keep it & I made that very clear in my PayPal case as well.

Im so relieved! I’ve never dealt with something THAT significantly not as described.

Thank you all for allowing me to share my situation here.

They did the right thing even if the seller didn't. Congratulations!!! :hugs:

Yes I actually was mad as a hornet when I saw that bag. It is not a coach, because I could not find a snow white coach purse - I'm not even sure there is such a thing ? There are eggshell, off-white, light ecru and a host of other colors in coaches, but I have not run across a true white one. There is a possibility of putting a metal end on the strap (I do not know what they are called) and putting in some grommets, but I do not know if the leather shop can be bothered with that, or even how much it would cost to have it done.

That's a real shame and I hope that you can have it repaired.

Coach has made white bags in the past that are listed just as "white" not ecru or bone, etc. Some of them are spectator bags that are white with a colored trim but there are other bags are pure white.

I know that some of the bags from the 1990s came in white, like the spectators and the lightweights bags and I'm sure that the Beckett Zip also came in white. Scroll through some of the 1990s coach catalogs in the Reference section and you will find some white bags.

Coach often uses the term "ivory" and I think of that as pure white - but I don't know if it meets your desire for snow white? Some of the Italian Madison Bags from later in the 1990s came in Ivory. Here is a picture of my ivory Madison Spence bag 4400.

Thank you @katev, I did see Ivory and also some called Bone. Of course when one reads about bags for sale, one cannot necessarily trust the stated color, nor the posted picture, since both lightening and computers can influence that. But an off-white would not have paired well with the outfit I was wearing. I will look through those catalogs, since I'm slowly starting to accumulate the numbers for bags I'm interested in. Lol, I DEFINITELY want a red with several imagined attributes like perfect size, turnlock, etc etc  and that Madison Spence bag is darned close.

I have had a few truly white vintage Coach bags. I also prefer the white bags to bone.

Here are a couple:

Legacy Zip 9966 (bag was quite damaged and has been colour refreshed)

Bixby Sling 9929 (came NWOT - I added the tassels):

Ohhh my, those are some beautiful bags !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing.

I'll have 2 or 3 of that Spence bag in different colors  Even though the color is a bit popping for me (more of a burgundy person here), the size and general appearance are right up my alley. Thank you muchly for sharing !

Sure, and just to make other folks aware - some of the Italian Madison Bags, including the Spence, have very long straps - and that's not always a desirable feature but I don't mind it.

That would also be fine by me, because I always seem to have my hands full and shoulder bags do slip off quite easily when bending. For me cross-body is the way to go for regular wear.
