Thanks for sharing it here. You did a great job, I can’t take all the credit for that. Especially I suggested to heat the spoon with lighter (which is risky of over heating & causing damage). You changed it to using hair dryer, which is brilliant idea.
Wow! That is awesome. I have a red saddlery with that exact same problem. The bag is gorgeous otherwise, but the little imperfections are all that I can see. I know what I’ll be doing tomorrow! Thanks for sharing!
@LadaZuri used hairdryer to heat up the spoon and worked very well. But be very careful if anybody want to use lighter, not just it may over heat the metal, also the flame leave black residue on the spoon, so need to be heated from the other side that will not touch leather, hairdryer definitely is better.

This Emery bag unfortunately got caught in quite the heavy downpour and I only realized a week later that there's some fading/discoloration on the edges. Could this be mold? Any insight on if this can be fixed is much appreciated! (Hope this is the right thread to be posting this.)

I don't think it is mold. Does it have any smell? I would try conditioning it with something like CPR to see if it makes a difference. I would use a protective conditioner like Blackrocks to protect it from happening again.

Renapur melt on the Oliver tonight. Most of it has absorbed already. I may have to do another treatment! It reminds me of a hot oil treatment for scalp/hair

I also took a pic of my Renapur tub. That hole in the middle was all level before I began

pic 1 is before, 2 and 3 are after

also, can I stress that I put like 5 coats of honey on this bag with no long-standing results?! Crazy to me. I’m with you regarding this leather and honey @Coachaddict4020
Renapur glaze ?? very interesting- how does one make this ? just warm up the renapur?

Yep - you can leave it out in the sun and massage it in w/ your fingers which is my favourite to do when we actually get any sun. Otherwise I just rub it into the pores w/ my warm fingers. Others like to heat it on the sponge w/ a hairdryer but I like using my fingers as it gives me full control over application. I rub until I see it 'blocking' the pores and then leave it to absorb and if I've overapplied I rub off the excess w/ a cloth.

Here is my current collection of Coach Scooter Bags 3893! The colors (L-R) are: Navy, Red, British Tan, and Bottle Green and they were all made in the USA in the early 1990s.

I bought the first one (British Tan) in 2011 and I've spent a total of $80 for all 4 bags. I have previously posted photos of my British Tan and Bottle Green Scooters but I will post before and after pics of my recent navy and red rehabs next.

As mentioned before, my interest in Scooters was reawakened by this recent Marie Clare article about the joys of carrying a vintage red Scooter during a pandemic:

Gorgeous bags! Can I ask what season and year this catalog is from?

He’s so cute! What’s his name?

I figured it would happen eventually; my backyard butts up to a small wildlife sanctuary so we get so many birds. They are just living so I can’t be mad. :amuse:
Lally. Rhymes with Wally. He started life as LaLa, before we knew what sex he was. When I found out he was a male, I started with Lally. A lot of days he is simply Boy Bird. Or Schmook.
That sweet innocent looking creature? I don't believe it!
I have a mystery 'ding' on that beautiful black leather Hampton's Business tote with the anniversary lining. l think maybe it was from the chemical content of his toodle. I let him out of his cage mostly in my living room and it can be a toodle zone. Where many of my bags land when I walk through the door. I keep an eye out now a days!!!
