The BT Sling bag on the floor in the above pics can use some love too; I entertained the thought of a joint dunk for 5 seconds. Glad I nixed that idea.
Okay, Buckle Bag is enjoying a vinegar rinse. Mottled staining is still there. I am just looking to give an overall conditioning and go from there. At least the buckles are shiny!
I think I'll make a cup of coffee.

I enjoy the play by play on rehabs so keep on posting if you want to! :)

Hello awesome rehabbers! I’m wondering if anyone has rehabbed a Dakota. Can I bathe her as per usual with vintage Coach? Here is the bag I am specifically concerned about.
Thank you!
I think you can. I probably have bathed some but I can't remember. I'm not sure I would with that bag. It looks like it is in excellent condition.

:flowers: I am on vacation this week. I spent several days with my mother. Breaking it up with a few putter days for me and getting in a routine visit to the vet. Then back to see my mother through the weekend. Thought I would get a few rehabs in between today and tomorrow. It feels like it has been ages. I needed to give my attention to other things over the past couple of months.

I want to say too that I have seen people here dunk Dakota's. I know Catbird9 rehabbed a large tote I believe was a Dakota. Let me search her posts.

She did not dunk it. But here is what she did.

Here is someone who did! I just did a search of this thread using Dakota and dunk.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my post, whateve! I’m thinking a couple of coats with CPR as I’m concerned about the possibility of dye transfer from the navy to the tan.
You're welcome. I don't remember ever having a problem with dye transferring to the smooth leather on either Dakotas or Sheridans.

You can also use Blackrocks. Make sure that you buff any conditioner you use so you don't get any stuck in the textured leather cavities.

I just had had to buy this bag. I think I was blinded by the buckles. I love these belt buckles. Bleecker buckles. It has been languishing in my rehab pile for around 2 years. Pray for me  Going in . . .

Welcome to my rehab workshop, a.k.a. my kitchen sink…

Flipped the bag inside out to better get at the weird white stain. I am scraping it off so I am guessing it was candy.

I am going to let it sit upside down for a while. Check out the detail, the tabs for the buckles were riveted on.

Thank you, Lake Effect! I’m going to follow Catbird’s advice in those posts. Keep posting your step-by-step with your Bleeker bag!

I love Blackrocks- it’s in my rehab arsenal. I’ll make sure to buff REALLY well. Thank you again!

Love the play by play! Please continue to share.
Appreciate it  In hindsight it was a real Would You Rebab This Bag moment where I obviously said yes! I can look through my stuff, I got this off of the online GW site. It was bundled with a little Pocket Legacy Zip (iirc - the name) and I think I paid around $45 for the bundle of both shipped. So I was like, okay, for half of $45, I can experiment. It did smell like smoke, as in building-on-fire smoke.
I have it perched up-side down on various plastic containers in my sink so it can drain, maybe for another 1/2 hour, hour or so.

I tried all sorts of combinations of Dakota and _____ and didn’t come up with anything! Thank you!!
