I so

Hope it will work for you. I sold mine because the round bottom stick out too much. I found Maggie looks so pretty in photo, but not so much IRL, just my opinion about it, I am sure lots others love it.
On the other hand, the legacy studio flap crossbody 9145 Looks ugly in photo, but very cute IRL

I agree! There was a (navy?) Legacy Studio Flap 9145 included in my recent batch of 13 free Coach bags and I am loving it! It looks so plain at first glance but it's really a great bag.

The size is nice - not too big or small - and I love the hidden, expandable pocket under the flap. Plus it has an outside back slip pocket and an inside zip pocket. It's got a slim, tapered profile and a nice, wide, comfortable and adjustable strap; this little bag is really versatile!

Just would like to add my thoughts between Helen and Maggie, they both have a big rounded bottom, but Helen is a tall bag, I feel the bottom size doesn’t bother me as much as Maggie, which is a short bag.

Your description is perfect for this little bag, exactly how I feel too. Lol…
Mine might be navy then, it is identical to yours include hardwares.

I purchased the Maggie because it’s the closest in dimensions to the 1941 duffle 20 which I’ve wanted for a really long time. I couldn’t pull the trigger on the duffle 20 cause I don’t like the quality of the newer bags but Im hoping I’ll like the Maggie lol. I’ll give an update after rehab. Ill even do a couple mod shots for anyone interested. I have to do some for my slim duffle too, Ill do them both at the same time in the same post :)

Maybe it's me but I never thought that any of the vintage duffles stuck out too far. I do tend to smoosh them down and probably in, but I have tried bags that I felt stuck out too far and made me feel like I was carrying a piece of luggage. Some Frye bags were particularly problematic in that way. I have a slim duffle that I wound up never reaching for. The bottom is very narrow and narrow bags make me feel like I have to stack (think Tetris) the things that I'm carrying. I guess this is just a different opinion.

Different dimensions for different folks I guess . The larger duffles might not work for me but I can appreciate some good eye candy in pictures!:girlsigh:

Also speaking of duffle sacs, I found out I was exposed to vintage coach back in 2013 when I watched a cheesy show called “The Carrie Diaries”. It was supposed to be about Carrie Bradshaw’s life as a teenager working for a magazine part time. It was set in the 80’s though so they didn’t use the word “vintage” which is why my brain never registered that “vintage” coach bags were a thing. The whole episode revolved around everyone at the magazine company fighting over a red duffle sac lol. Man I feel so dumb! I could’ve started collecting vintage coach in 2013! I could’ve had a Winnie in every colour by now!!:panic:. Here’s a screenshot of a still from the show:

I only discovered this because recently I’ve been re-watching shows from my past for the nostalgia, haha:giggle:

Anyone have any experience with removing a red stain that may be lipstick? It's on the inside of an unlined off white bag and is not currently visible on the outside of the bag. Will it bleed through to the outside when the bag is dunked? Thanks!

I don’t have experience with this on a bag but merely my own face. Lipstick comes off better with oil or something fatty. Fight fire with fire. Vaseline or an oil based cleaner or conditioner or even chapstick. Wipe away. Then I would try dunking with dawn or something to act as a surfactant to pull any remaining oils from the area.

Sounds good - thanks. I still can't figure out why makeup and pens rattle around, uncontained in such nice bags.

Am I the only one who feel the bag could knock over everyone passing by on a walk…

Just got done with this bad boy. Driest bag I’ve ever encountered. Vintage Baxter. Decided against washing. Did 2 thick coats on each side of CPR. Polished brass. Finished with BR. Fix piping with adhesive. Strap is missing so ordered a replacement on eBay. This is why you condition your bag!!

what a gorgeous transformation! Can I ask - how do you know when a bag has been moisturized enough? I have read that oversaturating with moisturizer also has its issues but perhaps that’s more of a long term thing rather than as part of a rehab. Is there any sign or feel of the leather that signals it is adequately moisturized?

I would have dunked this bag in a heartbeat! Why did you decide against it?
