Hard to believe those are the same bags in the before and after pics! You did a great job, they’re gorgeous:loveeyes:

What happened with your green daypack? I totally understand the feeling when a rehab doesn't go well, I've thrown in the towel a couple of times already but these bags always reel me back in
I can't get enough of the leather and the simple look. They're just so much higher quality than anything out there today and I don't use any of my other bags anymore cause these are so beautiful. My bone Court is my absolute favourite

Well, the first disappointment was that it turned up in much worse condition than I was expecting and it was so dry. I'm talking fading on most of the leather and feeling like sandpaper. Nothing I had seemed to work on it to make it softer and I ended up just putting it away in disgust. I have some leather therapy now though so I might give it another dunk and try again. It was just a bit soul destroying at the time (sounds dramatic but I had some personal stuff going on at the time and rehabbing was my release).

I turn to rehabbing too as a sort of mental break so I totally get what you mean when that break doesn't help, but ends up adding to your stressors. I hope it works out well for you if you decide to give it another go!

Totally agree with using bag projects as a way to take a break - that’s what I do too.

Question about the ongoing Prescott rehab. The interior of the top flap has several vertical wrinkles. I’ve done 3 coats of CPR and most of it feels quite supple, the last coat was more than 36 hours ago. I like to do the coats every 12-24 hours but life got in the way. Any tips for this wrinkling? I may give that area another coat of CPR. 1867DE90-2B36-4115-BC33-86C7F3FF5C60.jpeg4EC6DD24-6077-48BB-9F52-F56DBF30C78D.jpeg

I've never rehabbed a Prescott but the wrinkling may be due to a wrinkled cardboard flap inside the front flap, I don't know. You might try steaming it, covering the flap with a presscloth (towel) and then ironing it - just an idea. After ironing it you could try flattening it out and weighting it down with heavy objects, like big books. You could also try stretching it.

I don't know if any of suggestions will work, they are just things that I might try if I was doing the rehab.

Below are before, during, and after rehab pics of a Suede Fringe Dinky that had wrinkles on the front flap. I really tortured that poor bag but eventually the appearance did improve, but it's still not perfect.

This looks like an Italian-made Coach Dakota bag (not authenticated) for $30 or make an offer. It has a unique method of closure. The hangtag appears to be missing. Maybe it is a Dakota Cassidy?

ETA: see below for catalog photos and descriptions of the Dakota bags that were posted by @Catbird9, this looks like the Cassidy Crossbody Mini-Bag 4204.

It's not a Dakota. It's probably a Sheridan Shelby 4213. You can tell the differences between Sheridans and Dakotas by the lining and the texture of the leather.

I don’t have the bag in my possession yet so I can’t say much else. Thanks for confirming my suspicions. It doesn’t look too bad. I think a wipe down with my mold spray & a vinegar bath will get rid of it. I just hope it doesn’t leave stains

I have had mould start growing when I was ill and accidently left wet straps covered by books for a few days. I wiped them down with straight vinegar and that was the end of it, thank goodness! I think it might depend how long the mould has been active.
