Thanks! I agree that the gunmetal will look good with the suede fringe dinky!

And I know what you mean, some of the vintage bags look "collegiate" and informal, but I think the chain straps will go well with some of the vintage bags. The Dinky is modeled on a classic bag style and I think they may work with some bags like the structured Italian Coach bags.

Here is a pic of my beechnut Madison Gracie that is missing the original strap but I've substituted the lighter-weight chain strap that is sold at the coach outlets. I also like the fact that they are genuine coach straps and not expensive.

I forgot to mention that I used a gold hangtag to replace the missing hangtag on my XL Ergo Tote 10744. The original hangtag was made of black leather and had white contrast stitching; too bad that it's long gone. I had a large, black leather hangtag but I thought that the gold looked better.

I've decorated my new-to-me Ergo with the Coach Koi Fish charm and paired it with my black Bleecker wallet.

Can someone tel me where to find the instructions on how to rehab a bag...and the dunk method?
Thanks so much!

It can vary with the bag, what it is made of and construction, etc., and the type of damage or wear can also make a difference.

Here is my basic routine for rehabbing an unlined, vintage, leather coach bag:

If you post pics of the bag you want to rehab and the problem areas we may be better able to advise you, good luck!

Welcome to the Ergo XL Tote revival! Looks beautiful!

Thanks! I have an XL Ergo Hobo that I've had for years and that I love, but this is my first tote and it is wonderful!

Do you know the retail price for the 10744 XL Ergo Tote when it was released in 2007? I haven't been able to find it on the Wayback Machine, thanks!

Maybe you could get that seller on Etsy to sew on a hangtag with white thread.

Here's some before and afters of my new Mahogany precious!
I can already tell that this is going to be a travel favorite. It fits everything I might need, but is small enough to not look too out of place in a fancier evening type setting.
The inside zip pocket is generously sized and could keep important documents secure, and the whole thing is skinny enough to hold close to the body to navigate a crowd.
Here goes:
