Sorry about that. I discovered that once and posted it about here a few years ago.Redo a yellow Bleeker large flap this morning, since it still had lots of stain marks. I don't think it will improve much. I did learn a valuable lesson. HOT WATER & EDGE PAINT DON'T GO TOGETHER. I usually only use room temperature water and never had problems with edge paint.,since I was trying to remove tough stains today, thought hot water might help, but edge paint became soften and melted from high temperature.
Thanks. Once the bag is dry I'll see how bad is the stain marks, then decide to redo the edge paint (to keep) or put it for sale as is.Sorry about that. I discovered that once and posted it about here a few years ago.
Advice, please!
I am super close to pulling the trigger on a vintage, pastel colored bag. However, it's a wee bit pricier than I typically pay. The big "issue" with this bag is a pen mark smack dab on the front. In the past I've diligently, patiently tried to remove pen marks and it always results in an obvious area of lightened color, and usually looks worse than the pen mark itself. Any helpful hints, suggestions, etc.,?
I happen to also have a bag sitting in my cart with a bunch of pen marks. I keep going back to it but know it’s not worth it. Thanks also for reminding me to not waste my money...Trust your experience.
Unless it is white and really cheap. I've removed ink from white with zit cream.I happen to also have a bag sitting in my cart with a bunch of pen marks. I keep going back to it but know it’s not worth it. Thanks also for reminding me to not waste my money...

Welll someone beat me to it...prob for the best.thinking of getting something like this...Its a bit dirty but just would like the experts to say whether or not it would survive a dunk.View attachment 4717286
I am quite surprised at how when my teal suede haversack did in the washer. I have to give props to how well Coach made these bags. There real question is, how well will it clean up? Even going through a washer twice, areas of wear on my bag did not come completely clean. Maybe 80% to 90% clean. Search the rehab thread with the keyword haversack and my user name for the posts if interested.thinking of getting something like this...Its a bit dirty but just would like the experts to say whether or not it would survive a dunk.View attachment 4717286

I have been thinking of using a bone strap and bone hangtag on a black Court which came without a strap. And if that works out, I might try other combinations. Many Coach NYC era bags have short shoulder straps, which I found is not practical to use. I was waiting to find deals on substitute matching crossbody straps for several bags, but no luck yet. After seeing some other TPF members posting, I decided to give it a try on mix & match bag with strap. Here is the Putty Coach convertible clutch with BT Roots crossbody strap and a BT Coach hang tag, with a cat who is trying to hide from camera. Lol...
I think it will look very nice.I have been thinking of using a bone strap and bone hangtag on a black Court which came without a strap. And if that works out, I might try other combinations.
