Oh my, you got that yellow duffle didnt you. Lol! They rehab very well, just watch, the color really soaks up any kind of oily conditioner. I can never resist a yellow bag.
I just love yellow...and looking at the bag over the last few weeks makes me happy.
Plus I booked my trip to Italy this week and its like a welldone present to me.

Hello all, newbie here. I have at least 20 Coach bags of all ages. I was on the Coach site and saw the refurbished Willis and fell in love. Scoured the reseller market and picked up a black Willis and a red Stewardess (I think). Going to try my hand at restoration. I've been reading blogs and watching YouTube videos. I have a question for all of you experts: one restorer (who does it for Coach), says she stopped soaking New York era bags, but steams them instead. How does one steam a bag?

Also, I'd love suggestions on tried and true products.

So glad to find this group!
My tried and true products are mild dish soap for the bath, Leather CPR for once daily conditioning until the bag is quenched, and Black Rocks for a finishing touch. I also use Brasso to polish the brass hardware after using 000 grade steel wool to remove the lacquer on the brass. I'm kinda new to rehabbing but I've been pleased with how all of my bags have turned out so I think I'm doing ok. My oldest bag is a pre-creed metal tag Courier Pouch and that came out just gorgeous after a bath and lots of conditioning. I do recommend that you skim through the 1500+ pages on this thread if you want to be amazed at the talents of some of the veteran rehabbers here. Plus you'll learn so much!

You could stuff it and let it sit for awhile. Hanging it in a warm steamy bathroom or wrapping with hot towels from the dryer might help.

Thanks whateve! I shall give it a try and report back!

So I stuffed my slightly flattened court bag for two days, and then moved into it. Couldn’t wait and needed a larger bag for the day. Guess I must love it! :) Turns out just using the bag is the best way to unflatten it in this case (since I think the bag only got flattened during shipping, and it wasn’t flat before that).
Yay!
