Thanks for all the good advices from everyone here. I finally decided to give it a try, now several vintage coach bags are on their way to me from eBay. Need advices about shampoo and conditioner, please see pictures, they are color safe and enriched with coconut and macadamia oil, can I use the shampoo to dunk the bag then condition it with conditioner, and rinse off afterwards?IMG_20191119_152435.jpg

It might work, but it would be an experiment. I use Dawn dishwashing liquid and white vinegar.

My court bag arrived today!! It’s in beautiful condition and I love it. But it’s HUGE to me! From the dimensions I was expecting it to be around the same size as the Devon, or just a bit larger than the pocket purse, but it’s actually quite a bit bigger!

The bag had already been conditioned but it got a bit flattened from shipping. Is giving it another bath the only way to reshape it? Appreciate any advice! Thanks!

You could stuff it and let it sit for awhile. Hanging it in a warm steamy bathroom or wrapping with hot towels from the dryer might help.

Sneaky peek.
Here is my demi turnlock pouch. I was in process of dying her yesterday... until I got a migraine...
She was originally dark brown (mahogany or chocolate) and I made her a deep oxblood. Deeper than my Dreamer card case that IS actually oxblood. But I dont care because I'm obsessed with the color. This is the shade I had hoped my pocket purse would have turned out vs. Getting streaky.

Hello all, newbie here. I have at least 20 Coach bags of all ages. I was on the Coach site and saw the refurbished Willis and fell in love. Scoured the reseller market and picked up a black Willis and a red Stewardess (I think). Going to try my hand at restoration. I've been reading blogs and watching YouTube videos. I have a question for all of you experts: one restorer (who does it for Coach), says she stopped soaking New York era bags, but steams them instead. How does one steam a bag?

Also, I'd love suggestions on tried and true products.

So glad to find this group!

The blue flap darkened wow! congrats on finding a blue station!

I managed to get a cream/ivory. I hope she cleans up nice after a a bath.

I wanted to ask if anyone has a white strap lying around somewhere? The station I have didnt have a strap. willing to buy. Ive been on the lookout on ebay but no luck...

I am new here too, can't really offer any suggestions. Just noticed in your picture the strap of Willis is very short and wondering how? I have a brown Willis on her way to me from eBay too.
