Not asking about authenticity but mainly a condition question.
If you were to get a bag like this, would the small ink marks on the interior in the 4th photo be a problem?

If you mean would they be likely to bleed during the bath, I don't think that would be a problem. They probably won't come out though.

Also I agree with Splatnext. The bag sets off my highly-tuned hazmat alert. I wouldn't want to handle it.

I stopped in at a local thrift store today and saw a bag that I am almost sure is the 9085 XL duffel sac in brown and made in the US, like the one at the link below. It was worn but in good condition and they were asking $65. I walked away because I have l already have loads of great bags to rehab but I keep thinking about that bag - it's huge! What do you think, would you go for it if you were in my place? Thanks!

When I'm in that dilemma I usually ask myself "will I really use it or is it just taken up valuable real estate'.Most of the time I tell myself not to be greedy and let someone else get a chance at it.That is my inner self speaking because I would not know what to do with it and just to have it so I can brag about it will not do that duffle sack any justice nore the person that I deprived of it.
Last time I was at the thrift store I found a nice mens wallet for 3.00$ and a Coach Hampton wristlet the larger kind in pristine condition, first I grabbed it then later on I put it back, I was never going to use it,I don't even like that style so why buy it.My son liked his new wallet tho.

It depends, if you like that style. I have the hairy (Berkeley) version, and I love it for the times when I have to carry lots of non-flat things. BTW, for some reason the dark brown Berkeleys seem to be unpopular and go for cheap on EBay.

If it was pre-creed or Made in New York City I would have grabbed it in a heartbeat. I would still be tempted even if it weren't either of those, but probably in that case I would leave it for someone else whose day would be made by finding it.

Well I wouldn't because I already know that style doesn't work for me. $65 is a good price but not a bargain. If I wanted to try a style I wasn't sure of, I would look for one under $30.

All done with the mahogany pocket purse and this one has turned out the best of all that I have done. I am especially happy with how nice the inside and flap underside turned out. The navy legacy zip showed up today and this one will be a challenge I think. Though it is nice that the bottom has not lost its shape and bent. Not too upset for $15.

The navy legacy. The leather is very soft and I love that it has feet.

The brass looks awesome on the pocket purse! How did you treat it?

Thank you! I scrubbed with 000 steel wool and Wenol to get the coating off and then used my Dremel with polishing compound and wheel. I removed the turnlock before dunking and polished it while it was off. I actually haven't done the snaps or D rings yet but they don't look too bad.

Hi everyone!
I got my tan pocket purse today! And while it does have a few marks (so not exactly no defects as described in the listing), I still really like it.
But - there are some dots inside the bag. Initially they were covered by some kind of white powder (sort of reminds me of detergent). After I scraped the spots off, there are some dark spots beneath.
So I’m looking to get some advice here. How can I determine if the spots are ink or if they are mold? I would like to dunk the bag but am worried if they are ink spots, they would run and ruin the bag.
(I also emailed the seller but she doesn’t know what they are either.. she said her mom had the bag in the closet for a while so I’m actually now wondering if it was indeed mold...)
Any thought or advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks!!
