The plaza is drying but I'm a bit worried because it's drying with greyish patches, it's probably 85% dry at the moment. It's worst on the front flap and in the back. The colour is fine and even under the front flap and inside. Will blackrocks sort out the problematic areas? I've done one coat of saphir renovateur cream and conditioner, maybe that was wrong but what I had to hand for that step. I was going to do BR next.

Black Rocks should help a lot to restore and even out the color - be sure to apply it very lightly and buff quickly. You can always give it additional applications later, after giving the leather some time to rest. If you apply it too heavy it gets sticky and tacky feeling.

I am not familiar with saphir products, I generally use Leather CPR and Black Rocks on vintage bags. Pease show us how it turns out, good luck!

Does anyone have experience rehabbing the soft, smushy leather of the 2009 Parker bags? I got a Parker Shoulder Flap 13412 (made in 2008 and released in 2009) Pilot bag from the Goodwill yesterday for only $7 but it is completely filthy, especially the interior. Soaking this bag in the bath may not be enough, I might have to run it through the washer to try and remove all the stains the dried gunk (food and/or bodily fluids? Yuck!) caked inside the zip pocket.

This one is going to need some heavy duty cleaning, but I am worried about damaging the soft leather so I would appreciate some advice.

Also, can you spot any differences between my pilot bag and the production model of this bag? The only difference I've found is that the creed patch doesn't have gold lettering. Thanks!

Thank you so much, will definitely do that!

Hey guys! Wondering if anyone has experience with navy bags that they’d like to share.

Any rehab experiences, with sort of navy, sort of black bags?
If so, did yours turn out to be navy, or black?

I’m kind of considering a maybe-navy, maybe-black one. The seller can’t tell, but she’s leaning towards the color being navy, when looking in natural light. It’s from before 1994. (This one doesn’t look like it’s faded black to me, and it looks clean.)

I have a navy pre-1994 Pocket Purse, and a navy 1998 Willis that are both clearly navy.
They were clearly navy when I got them, and after being dunked and conditioned with CPR and Blackrock.

Ever purchased from a seller who couldn’t tell that a bag was definitely navy?

Anyone know if the older bags were produced in a darker shade of navy, compared with later bags (e.g. mid 90s, late 90s, etc.)?

I often wonder about this stuff when I see bags online, that look like they could be navy or black.
