Thanks! I'm going to try to get it professionally done if I can find someone.

Do you have a good shoe repair shop? A good cobbler can do a lot to repair leather items.

Below are before and after pics of a damaged mahogany Patricia Legacy that I picked up very cheaply. It had damage to the leather on the front flap and it was badly torn where the flap attached to the bag. I was going to try and repair it myself, but I decided to take it to the shoe repair and he did a fantastic job - I'm glad that I didn't attempt it myself.

Question for other rehabbers - had anyone ever attempted to wash a white spectator Coach bag with a tan trim from the early 1990s? I have a bag that’s in a pretty good condition, but given that it’s 25+ years old and white, it could use some cleaning. I am wondering if it’s safe to dunk - will tan bleed over white? Or am I better off trying to just clean the surface?

Thanks.

This bag was beige canvas with camel leather trim and I had to wash it multiple times - including 2 trips through the washing machine and it didn't bleed.

Note: when I try to view this thread with Internet Explorer you can't see most of the pictures; but when I view it with Google Chrome, I can see all the pictures.

I've washed spectator bags without bleeding.

I Just dunked a white one with British tan trim a few weeks ago and it didn't bleed. I didn't have great luck making the white look a lot better though because it had some rubs and scrapes those areas still look a bit dingy. But it dunked just fine go for it!

Thank you and thanks @whateve and @katev . Off to the “to dunk” list it goes.

New coach rehab just arrived, got this madison satchel off of ebay. It's in pretty good condition, but reeeeeally dry and a little scuffed on the edges, so we are gunna give her a bath and a condition and see how she turns out!

Found this little cutie today, it's a coach sheridan greensboro. Now can I dunk a bag with a liner or just keep conditioning it, also there a rusty spot on the buckle and scratches on the turnlock, how do I go about fixing thoes?

Some people dunk these, I think. I don't. Be careful what you clean the lining with. Don't use acetone. For the brass you can clean it with vinegar and polish with steel wool and Flitz.

Thank you! The interior is actually pretty spotless, so if it ain't broke, but I'm definitely going to try what you said with the brass.
