You might get blue coming out of that for an hour. It might lighten the stain a bit.
I am seeing that. Okay , now I have it draining upside down on a laundry detergent container while I get a bite. If the stain lightens at all, without chemical intervention, I’ll be thrilled.
Edited to add, I have it stuffed with a towel. Will apply CPR shortly. I will let nature take its course with the ink stain. Will post pics later this week, when it has dried and been conditioned!

I forgot to take a before picture on this one, so I can’t fully illustrate just how faded, scratched, scuffed, flattened and dry this old gal was. But I could see that she had good bones. A dunk with Dawn, quite a bit of Leather CPR, and Blackrock. Though she’s not perfect, I rather like her weathered look. Not bad for an $11 find, and I do love the size and functionality of the City Bag. [emoji173]️

Tah dah! Not to shabby for a $5 Salvo find. What she look like now after a bath and multiple leather cpr applications (this stuff is gold!) Vs what she looked like when i found her. Still need a little more work but I'm happy with it! Thanks for everyones help and tips!

Beautiful job! Rexy's doing a happy dance.

I think I posted about this goodwill find many months ago. It had this immovable stain, and I had been contemplating getting a pin or sticker to cover it. Well, I tried the unicorn sticker, but couldn’t place it to my liking. In this recent sale I got this KH heart pin and like it much better. Now paired with my new flamingo buddy. :).

I was afraid the back of the pin would be bulky on a thin wristlet but it’s not at all.

Beautiful! Thank you for showing us your treasure!

Hi all,

I just bought a leather/shearling jacket. I found it at the Neiman's outlet and it's Isabel Marant. It's so pretty. It's a off white, I'd say an light oyster/ecru color.

So, it has a satin finish on the leather. In once place the leather finish has come off and it's lost it's sheen. The only person who can tell of course is me and I don't care. BUT, my concern is the leather is so light and it will just pick up dirt, I know I could spray it, but I'm hoping there is a coating I can put on it that is clear. Does anyone know of any.

I searched Amazon and found this.

Will it work? Or is there another product people might recommend?

ETA, and I found this and like the Saddle-lac, but it's a glossy finish and I would like a satin finish.

I don't have any experience with any of these. Blackrocks Leather n Rich will temporarily restore the sheen, but it isn't permanent. I would make sure that whatever you use is good for the leather, and doesn't affect its breathability and suppleness.

Thanks! I'm going to try to get it professionally done if I can find someone. :)

I don't think you should put Resolene on it. I re-dyed a bag with Fiebings dye and used a 50/50 mix of Resolene and water on it to ensure that the dye wouldn't transfer. It changes the texture of the leather. It also won't accept leather conditioner very well if you use it. If you decide to try the Resolene instead of getting it professionally done, I'd recommend starting with something like a 25/75 mix of Resolene/water.

That is what I figured, it was not a good thing to try. I took it to a leather shop and got there is not much they can do, but they did not really do much work themselves. I'm going to try a couple more.

Thanks so much

Beth
