Scored this today at a random yard sale for all of $2 - Coach Hamptons Signature zip Satchel in Ocean Blue. It was SO DIRTY - makeup, ink stains, hair  My husband used upholstery cleaner & about 90 minutes of cleaning & scrubbing, and it looks almost new! Ebay pic I found online - mine's hanging on the clothesline right now to air dry after cleaning. I originally bought her to give to a coworker, since I'm not a signature bag girl, but I think I may end up keeping her. :D

I think it is an older ink stain. Will the products mentioned still help? I don't know how she got ink on there. LOL
Since its a small area, and you risk discoloring the leather no matter what you do, I would apply whatever product you decide on to the entire leather section so if it gets darker or lighter, it does it evenly.

And keep mind that whatever you decide probably will discolor the leather, and may not remove the ink. I would weigh the pros and cons. Might be better to leave it alone.

Thanks ladies!!! I didn't take any "before" pics - the bag was SO filthy, the exterior was almost beige with dirt, and the inside was covered in makeup stains. My husband put about 90 minutes of scrubbing into it - so sweet!

I'm thinking I'm definitely going to keep her...

She's beautiful-great job on the rehab! Very pretty color, too. (I love your candlestick collection by the way:smile1:)

Good job!! I would keep it too.. I don't have any siggy either, only leather. But that's a keeper.

beautiful rehab -what a nice hubby and what a deal!!

Hello! Looking for some guidance with my first rehab. I was going to wait and practice on a different bag, but this one came first, and in my excitement I dove right in. I gave it a bath in woolite, cleaned out the grime inside and scraped off lots of verdigris from the brass hardware. I didn't do anything to the leather other than the soak. It has dried and I have applied several coats of Apple condiotioner. Overall, it is better but still needs some help. The flap is streaky, and their are dark spots. I'm wondering if I should soak it again and maybe try to gently scrub the leather? On the bottom the leather looks much lighter around the brass feet where I cleaned the hardware, so maybe a good scrub will help? Here's a few pictures. Thanks experts!
