At long last, she’s finished! This one was a real challenge to bathe as at 17” long, she just didn’t fit in my kitchen sink. But by rotating and flip-flopping a lot, she got a nice sudsy Dawn bath and toothbrush scrub. Considering she’s from 1994, there were no major issues...thankfully. Stuffed her, conditioned with Leather CPR, cleaned the brass with Brasso and polished and finished her off with Blackrocks. Oh yeah, and nice, new black edges on strap, hangtag and zipper edges with acrylic applied with a sponge-tip makeup applicator. I’m gonna love using this briefcase!

BTW: Has anyone noticed the change in Blackrocks packaging? Gone is the Indian Chief, replaced with a nice looking young man in a leather jacket. More importantly, has anyone noticed a difference in the product itself? The first one I bought when I joined this crazy (:)) group (about a year ago...happy anniversary to me) was much stickier...more wax-like. The new one is much creamier and much easier to apply. Seems to sink in more quickly too. I like it much better...just sayin’

That bag is stunning, congratulations! It looks brand new, wow!

I haven't seen the new blackrocks, and I have a big stash of it so I won't be buying it again soon, but I am glad to hear about the changes!

Happy anniversary, I warned you that rehabbing is addictive!

Your briefcase is gorgeous!

Your briefcase is stunning! Everyone who participates on this board knows the effort you put into the rehab. Kudos to you.....

I didn't start rehabbing until last spring and have already used 2/3 of a jar of Blackrocks, 2 refill sized jugs of Leather CPR and I'm on my 3rd bottle of Bick 4 (which btw is terrific for delicates & exotics) I use the Bick4 on all pebbled leathers as it is thin and doesn't leave a residue as well as light bags as it does not darken leather.

I have Bick 4! I haven't used it in awhile. I forgot I had it. I just put Blackrocks on my pebbled Sheridan and it worked well. I just ordered some Leather Honey and I am anxious to see how that compares.

What is Bick 4? I've never heard of that!

I'll have to look for it, those equestrian people really know a lot about leather!
Before I found this forum, I researched equestrian sites/forums and discovered Bick 4. I also have Leather Honey and use it occasionally. It is sticky and tacky just like honey. I use cosmetic sponges to apply and let the leather rest overnight. Like Blackrocks, you need to put it on real thin.
