Going to try the glue and paint today. .. But I think this old guy is looking pretty good! I wasn't able to get all of the stains or but they are 90% better and much less noticeable than in the pics!

Looks great!

What did you use for the ink? Did you try the Lincoln stain remover? The bag looks great!

Thank you. .. The large dark places were some kind of wax/oil. .. They finally soaked out. The smaller spots were green ink. I soaked them with hair spray then rolled them between my thumb and index finger once they are soaked in warm water. The ink poured out at first but then stopped and a little was left. The Montana oil really covered it pretty well!

Thank you! It's that Montana oil. .. It's amazing and cheap lol!
Would you suggest that instead of the BlackRock. So far, I have coming Apple Conditioner, BlackRock,(and a suede cleaner and brush for 2 suede bags). Would I use the Montana oil in addition to these products or instead of one of them? I love learning all of this - so very interesting! I told my 12 year old about the coach bag in the washer machine and she thought I was teasing her..."Sure, Mom, haha!!" Then, I ahd her read some here...:) tomorrow, I am dunking (sink first) with Woolite a vintage black (messenger?) bag that needs a cleaning and better shaping...I printed out instructions to follow - so excited! I will be sure to take pics before and after and post! Thanks to youa ll odr sharing all of your knowledge!

Well. .. I'm so new to this that I'm not really one to give advice! I got the "Montana oil"at the recommendation of some old Cowboys lol! The ladies here asked about it so I keep trying it out! I use it as soon as the leather starts drying then when the whole bag is done I finish with the black rocks. I'm seriously addicted to the black rocks! Here's a link to the oil, but like I said. .. I'm new so wait for advice from the pros!
