Which suede cleaner did you get? I bought Kiwi and I don't like it. I just bought Lincoln ez cleaner. Someone used it to clean ink off suede successfully. I haven't tried it yet though. Washing suede bags is pretty much the same as washing leather bags since the suede is just the reverse side of the leather. Yes, you should brush when dry. The only difference is that your bags are lined. Pull out the lining when you leave them to dry. Also I would blow dry the creeds because they tend to absorb water, swell and warp if you don't.
Thanks for all of the hints, Whateve! I'm excited to try! I bought this:http://www.bigdweb.com/SUEDE-BAR-KIT/productinfo/04019/ at a place called "Big Dee's Tack and Vet Supplies not sure how I landed upon that site! ;)).....along with the Blackrock...I hope the cleaner and brush work well - will let you know!

I have a question not about rehabbing a bag because I'm too scared to try....but it's about a Coach Haversack. Would you ladies call this a medium or large size bag? And what do you think a fair price on ebay would be to buy one? There is a couple of pre owned and a couple of new ones on there.

What color are you looking at? It seems that the pink and brown ones can be found in the $200 range for a decent condition one, (even like new). The green and blue ones are rarer. I've found a good price on green once, but it had definite signs of use...still wearable, but not perfect. Blue ones seem to be the most expensive and I've seen them go for $200+. I am paying about $225 for one in payments right now...because it's my most coveted color and I finally have given up getting one in good condition, for much cheaper. I'd say it's a medium to large. It holds a decent amount. I can shoot a photo with a large wallet, etc. in it if that should help??

I'd forgotten I posted this a while back with some inside shots. The little netbook/red pc you see inside made for a really tight squeeze but it held it.

You should post pictures here of your bag. Katev has a thread on tpf showing how she used acrylic paint to cover the worn spots on her metallic Zoe. I have used a metallic paint marker to fix the worn silver straps on a glam and it worked great. I think I posted pictures of that on the forum too but I don't remember where.

I will, I want to get pictures in natural light and it was not sunny here today :( Hoping for sun tomorrow!

Next project. .. This one is for my hubby that thought the Cashen style was too girly. .. even with the he-man Talon zipper lol. Question. .. Have you guys ever used a filler or glue for torn leather? See below. .. This bag is a major project! It has some little gouges on the flap.

Does anyone think acrylic paint would help with these little cuts?

Maybe. It is hard to get it on thick enough to fill in. I think I would smooth out the cuts first with fine steel wool and then try the paint in multiple thin layers. I have used silicone caulk to fill in a hole but I haven't succeeded yet in making the edge of the hole flush with the rest of the leather.

They are very small and the leather is still there. .. Just sort of pushed if that makes since. I wondered if it cut be puked back and glued. It's for my husband and he said he didn't mind them. .. But I want perfection ; p

A few years ago I had a leather jacket with a very small cut ( sort of a slice) on the upper arm, and when I took it to be dry cleaned they said they were going to just glue it down. When I got it back it actually looked ok (I'm kind of a perfectionist too). Unfortunately I don't know what kind of glue they used.

I have used glue for that kind of repair for bags I am planning to keep. I've used tandy's eco-flo "leather weld" for big jobs. (would work for all jobs I'd think) and I've used a product found at JoAnne's called Fabri-tac for small jobs and for re-attaching hang tags that have separated, etc.

Oh! I have fabric glue. .. It would be worth a try! Thanks for that!

Going to try the glue and paint today. .. But I think this old guy is looking pretty good! I wasn't able to get all of the stains or but they are 90% better and much less noticeable than in the pics!
