Do you use the Lexol spray or the wipes?

All of the above. To be honest, the best value cleaner for your money is the straight up bottle of liquid cleaner which you can put onto your own soft white rags and wipe clean with. the spray bottle doesn't provide any advantage as far as I can tell, and the wipes are just a convenience thing, and more costly. That being said, I DO like the wipes and I use them (sparingly to save $) to do quick wipes before storing bags for the winter, etc.

I'm pretty rural but I have seen the wipes at our tiny Walmart express. Not sure if they have Lexol in the bottle but I can try the wipes and order it if I like it. I've been using white cotton socks to clean/condition my bags. They slip on my hand and stay put so I can easily buff or clean away! Lol!

I do know I'm not fond of the pump the Leather Therapy came in. It's sloppy because the product is so watery. . . Hmm maybe it's not supposed to be? Have you used it before? Maybe it's supposed to be thicker like apple?

I just have it in a normal bottle with a pour spout. And, since it is a bit thinner, I do like it for textured bags (pebbled leather, Sonomas, etc) since it doesn't leave a "white" conditioner residue which happens when conditioner doesn't absorb completely...and is nearly impossible to remove later unless you rewash the bag.

Thanks for the information! I was thinking it would be more handy in a pour bottle but I don't have one empty yet. I didn't know about using it on pebbled leather either. I have a saddle colored Sonoma full flap bag that I bought a few years ago. I've wondered what I could use on it without ruining it! Thank you!!! =]]

Sigh...I have 2 or three bags that need some light conditioning and this conversation is making me feel guilty. Guess I'll have to get up and grab the conditioners and bags and multi task while I'm on my Upstairs Downstairs Netflix binge.

I'm doing the same thing! Moisturizing bags and watching TV! Funny!

How funny! I just grabbed that Sonoma and am moisturizing too!

My first project arrived from ebay today. As I said before, I purchased a backpack for my granddaughter. This is it:

This is the ebay picture...didn't take the time to get a photo of my own when it came out of the box. Put Dawn in a large sink of water and plopped it in. The brass was very tarnished and the bag was dirty. I shined the brass while the bag was in the water.

I stuffed the bag first with towels, but it looked lumpy so I tried two new rolls of paper towels, with two little hand towels in the middle. That worked great...looking smooth.

Now waiting for it to dry! :smile1:

Very, very nice. Great Idea about using paper towel rolls too! I'd have never thought to do that. Your granddaughter is going to love this beautiful backpack and her very special grandmother for such a nice gift!

Here's the fruit of tonight's labor, I also did a thread but not sure why I did that? I'll blame fatigue.

The Rambler is the newest one, it *was* going to be a Christmas gift but not anymore (evil grin). Got her for like $25 shipped, she's mine. I'm out of Leather CPR so I can't do the rehab yet. I'll post better before pics then, but really I have no work to do other than bathe, reshape, condition, and clean the turnlock. I think this will be my first run with Blackrocks because the corners have a little wear.
