Awwww thank you! My DH was a leeeetle puzzled as to why I got the Rambler. I couldn't really say I didn't have anything else similar :-D

LOL!!!! Recently I was working on two different stewardess bags. I would move one to "rest" while I worked on the other one. One was burgundy the other black. I noticed my dh look kind of puzzled once when I brought out the burgundy one a few minutes after I had been working on the black one. I realized later that he thought I'd been working on only one bag! Gotta love those wonderful and oblivious dh's! ;-)

Here's the fruit of tonight's labor, I also did a thread but not sure why I did that? I'll blame fatigue.

The Rambler is the newest one, it *was* going to be a Christmas gift but not anymore (evil grin). Got her for like $25 shipped, she's mine. I'm out of Leather CPR so I can't do the rehab yet. I'll post better before pics then, but really I have no work to do other than bathe, reshape, condition, and clean the turnlock. I think this will be my first run with Blackrocks because the corners have a little wear.

Yowza! Vintage black purse porn. I love it!! Gorgeous beauties!!!

Beautiful collection!

The backpack is just about dried, and I've already applied the leather CPR. The bag is looking very nice. I am wondering what to do with the raw edges that are 'fuzzy'. I'd love any ideas....TIA!

So, here is what I've done, results may vary. I take an orange stick and put the cloth over it, with a ton of moisturizer on the cloth. Then, I go all the way along kind of "pushing" the edge parts under. Does that make sense? I have to go back after and condition/buff the leather around it, but it seems to help the fuzzies either go under the lip of the leather or appear less white.

Yes, that makes sense. What about the strap edges? They are exposed and fuzzy. Thank you again!

Sorry, I just saw this, apologies for my slowness! You know, I think some of the other ladies have done more than I have so it would probably be best to get their ideas, but I've used a sweater-shaver thingie in the past to clean up the edges. That's probably not the best way, though!

I've been carrying my burgundy Rambler's Legacy the last few days on vacation, and I love it. It is such a cute bag. This was one of the first vintage bags I wanted. I don't usually carry anything so small but I have it stuffed with my full-size wallet, card case, phone, keys, sunglasses, coin purse and chapstick. I dressed it up with the travel fob.

I'm getting impatient to use this one...

My first & only adventure with nubuc turned into a pleasant surprise. For less than $4 + shipping, I took the plunge on a Honey Wheat colored Sonoma Bucket from Italy, Style 4932 with jacquard striped lining. It was dirty, scuffed and had 6 or so ink pen marks. My process
1. sprayed the worse spots with Shout
2. immediately put into a mesh laundry bag & tossed into washer with warm water, a squirt of Dawn + 1 scoop of Oxyclean
3. went thru an extra rinse cycle to make certain all the Dawn suds were gone
4. Stuffed with towels to reshape & hang to dry (drying is so much faster when spun in the washer; but the bag badly need reshaping due to wrinkling from spin cycle)
5. Bag smelled wonderful; but was that "dirty" look remained as well as ink.
6. Used a Suede Eraser & soft bristled brush and believe it or not it came out beautifully. Dirty look is gone; bag lightened slightly with the eraser. The most amazing part is the eraser took off the ink as well.

It is now a great bag; but not necessarily my style. Long story short I am not afraid of nubuc.

I will try to post a few pics today
Sorry for the delay in photos. Here are my "before" and "after" on my 1st nubuc rehab. A lot of elbow grease; but I'm satisfied with the results.

Before (these are from the original listing). Bag was more soiled than pictured.
