This stewardess bag (eBay purchase) was a pretty easy rehab - unlike the black one that I'm "still" working on! There was fading on the front flap and some on the bottom corners. I gave her a bath, used Neatsfoot oil, leather therapy, apple and finally black rocks. All applied a day or two apart. I love the color and can't wait to carry her. :-)

Wow, it looks so nice and SHINY!!!!

Good to know!! Im gonna start with the warm bath and go on the hunt for Neatsfoot oil this afternoon. Where did you find apple conditioner and back rocks? By all means I hope im not coming across as ignorant, as english isnt my 1st language, ive never heard of such products! My guess would be at a shoe store? Interesting!!!
Of course now that I heard all these good tricks I am itching to go on the hunt for more purses.... Aaaaahhh!!!

There is post on this forum that I'll try to fin for you unless someone else can post it, that gives step by step instructions on rehabbing leather bags. I think it's post #18465269 by katev.

You do not come across as ignorant!!! And remember are no stupid questions. I would rather ask than make a big mistake and ruin my leather bag. All the ladies here are so good to help! Ask any time ans there will be someone here to help you!

I got both my Apple conditioner and Leather Therapy on Amazon. Here's a link for Apple: http://www.amazon.com/Apple-Leather...1351871582&sr=8-2&keywords=apple+leather+care

Here's for Leather Therapy: http://www.amazon.com/Leather-Thera...71706&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=Leather+therapy

Here's a link to black rocks: http://www.ebay.com/itm/15087558131...l?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=150875581312&_rdc=1

As far as the Neatsfoot oil, I got mine at a local feed store. I've since found out that some Neatsfoot oils are not pure. If you choose to use it, make sure it is pure. Some here prefer other products so you should see what they use as well.
You may find better prices in other places and others here can tell you more about that but those links are where I got mine. ;-)

Like I said, feel free to ask for any help here, these ladies will go over board to help you to succeed! =]

If you do a search on this forum for Apple and Blackrocks. You'll probably find links to where to purchase them.

You'll also find that some people use other products. It all depends on your preference.

I've settled on Leather CPR and Blackrocks and use Emu oil for the really tough bags that need extra help. All these products were recommended by the much more experienced women on this forum. They've done hundreds of bags and have a lot of knowledge that I'm personally very grateful for and thankful that they've been so open about sharing.

There's a wealth of information here and I'd suggest you consider starting from the beginning of this thread and read as much as you can. That would be the best way to decide what would work best for you.

I think many of us found our products online. Blackrocks is sold on ebay for sure. Apple is hard to find but I've found it at Burlington Coat Factory. Amazon has had it too. Lexol is easier to find and I use it while the bags are still damp/almost dry. I buy it at my local Kmart, or even at an automobile supply store since it's used for leather car seats I think. One of our favorite products , Leather CPR, is often found at Tuesday Morning, Bed Bath and Beyond, and sometimes TJ Maxx or Marshalls. I've started just ordering online to save all that driving around!

Do you use the Lexol spray or the wipes?
