Looking for some input/advice. Just got my Watermelon Tote and I adore it!

One issue is under one of the handles. Some of the leather has worn away on the seam, which I'll likely try to address with acrylic paint. But...I'm concerned about dunking it with this issue, however she definitely needs reshaping. I'm think of dunking everything BUT the handles and just cleaning the handles with Lexol. Thoughts? Here's a pic of the handle:

I'd keep the handle out of the water. This looks like it might be a perfect time to use edgekote.

Here's a quick progress pic on the Pigpen Brown Station Bag. Nowhere near done yet. Still needs lots of conditioning and polishing, but she's certainly looking more CLEAN!!

I've never used it myself. It comes in a few colors.

The colors are all browns and blacks. So, I ordered a 4 oz. bottle of the neutral. I'll try and touch up with some paint and then cover with the Edge Kote. Fingers crossed!

Along those lines...has anyone used acrylic on a navy bag? I'm going to take the hang tag with me to match, but if someone has already tried a brand/shade that works, I'm all ears! :smile1:

hey ladies, I have the poppy Bella fringe handbag. this bag is absolutely stunning! but I've only worn her twice since I've got her not even a year ago. She has black all around the rim, handles and some on the bottom back. Can I fix this? Is there anyway to protect her? the care card said that suede cleaning products were not recommended, how can you clean her? I am afraid to get her out of the closet. I have put her up for sale but if I could save her and protect and care for her easily, I would like to keep her.

I try to find an exact match, and since the paint is cheap, I will often buy some variations of close matches (including black) to make a match more perfect if needed. I hate making trips to Michaels, so I am starting to have my own paint store in my house just so I can just have it on hand and "get her done"... :D

Coach made more than one shade of navy. I have one that looks almost black and one from 1997 that is a bright color.

Can you post pictures of the bag? It would help to actually see the problems.
