I'd love to hear if they did give you the metal tag! :-)

I'll let you know, but sometimes they take some time to arrive.

Do you have a coach boutique store near you? If you stop in and ask they will usually give you a free hangtag and they keep a supply on hand. If you bought the bag on ebay don't mention that, they hate ebay! Just say you got it from a relative or something.

I don't know, I will have to see what they send me. I have gotten those "couldn't match" cards when they have sent a metal tag because they didn't have a good match for the original tag that came on the bag.

That is exactly when I have gotten that card too. No match for older handbag.

I love the Lula's Legacy. I just bought two - black and I think British Tan - although it has a "clay" tint to it. What color is yours?

Mine's black. Very excited to get her all finished. The challenge with this bag is that there's a lingering men's cologne/aftershave smell that didn't get resolved during the dunking process. So, I'll be trying some odor removal tricks over the next couple of days.

I was hoping to bring Lula with me on my business trip to Orlando next week, but she may have to wait a bit for her big debut, unless I'm able to get her smelling a little less manly before then. :p

I didn't know you could email for this. I'd much rather email than deal with a phone call. I've not seen an email link for this. Is it easy to find this contact link?

Just a footnote to this post. It took 17 days to receive the hang tag, but lo and behold, the exact match to the lime green Legacy and sent both a brass and nickle chain to hang it with no charge. Perfect match!

Wish I did have but the closest boutique is about 1 1/2 hrs. away. I live in the stix!!! :-(

Ok another chapter in the hangtag replacement saga: Today I got a vintage bag in the mail that is missing the hang tag. It's navy with brass hardware. I called Coach again (and) asked the rep if I could order a tag for it. She she could help with that, took my information and said it would be sent out!!! So far so good. . so I told her I'd just gotten a replacement tag for my white bag but was sent a tan colored one and it looked awful. I asked her if I could get a brass colored one that would at least match the hardware on that bag. She said she would request they send me one. I asked her If she needed the bag/style info on the white bag and she said she didn't and that she had placed the order for it. She also said I should have the tags in 3 to 5 days!!!

I'll update when they arrive! (fingers crossed!) :-)

My fingers are crossed for you, too! Hope you get your metal tag - she'll look great against the white!

I threw away the first sponge, but I repeated the Leather CPR treatment again tonight - and here are the pictures. You can see that the sponge definitely has some red color that rubbed off. But, the bag doesn't seem to have any loss of color. No sheen, so I'm hoping that this falls in the realm of normal. There are a couple of ink spots on the outside which I will probably leave - I tried removing ink stains from another Coach bag and that lightened the leather, which I do not want to do with this beautiful red color. However, if anyone has any thoughts on how to remove the grime from the handle, I'd be much obliged!

Beautiful bag! I have never had any luck removing discoloration from handles. Lovin My Bags offers a handle oil extraction service for $195 (so I probably won't be calling them!) They also sell products to prevent discoloration but that won't help you now. All I have been ever able to do is use black rocks to even out the coloration a little, as Jessi has suggested.

I am also in the plan to purchase a rehab bag and I didn't found any best quality one here in my area. The one which is displayed is really very nice. Could you please produce some attachment links regarding the best quality prices with affordable prices?

Salearea has a good reputation for selling high-quality goods at fair prices:
