JOODLZ...you're freakin' amazing with your rehabbing skills...along with the other veterans of rescue/rehab fame....LOL Enjoy rocking your latest bag tonight.

Ahhhh!!!!! Your collection is incredible!!!!! They just look so stately all lined up on the top shelf like that!!! And you have so many that still need rehabbing!!! I wanna come over and help you, lol!!!!!

Thanks so much...I'm still gonna need a closet stretcher when they all get plumped back up :) And thanks for offering to help...if you're in FL, stop on by!

I posted the before and in-progress pics a few days ago (http://forum.purseblog.com/coach/coach-rehab-and-rescue-club-624452-188.html#post21825423) and now the reveal!

Finished up with a couple of rounds of Leather CPR and black acrylic touch-up on the strap edges...she's ready to return to the world! I've always loved this bag...the leather is really light and soft, compared to my others. Now she'll be my go-to bag!

Thanks everyone, as always, for your kind comments, inspiration and encouragement on my rehabs...I truly love this forum!
looks so great!! Congratulations on a fabulous job and enjoy wearing her!!

Oh my gosh, this bag came out incredible!!! You used Minwax on this right??? I am in awe!!!! Hmmmm.... might be time to find a bag I can do this to... I am such a glutton for punishment sometimes!!!!

Yes, Minwax Ebony Wood Finish! This bag had been so completely abused, the finish looked like it had been attacked with sandpaper in spots, and had numerous ink accidents! There was just nothing to lose and everything to gain! Let me know if you decide to try it!

Thanks! A few short months ago, my hubby thought I was a nut case to try some of the things I have, but after this latest Minwax adventure, I think he's believing in me a lot more. But last weekend, after paying waaaay toooo much for Leather CPR at Bed, Bath & Beyond, he said, "You know you could have had another bag for this amount of money..." words I didn't think I'd ever hear :)

Since katev is away, in her absence, I'd bet she would recommend vacuuming it. I'm guessing the hair is inside? Maybe post more pics so we can help better.

They have no additional pictures with the inside shown. I was reluctant to bid on it for fear of the term "encrusted", but I would assume that anything stuck on or caked on would dissolve in the washing machine? I have been wanting this bag for a long long time and the outer appearance seems pretty nice. It has the cowhide lining, so I would assume that it's the easiest to give a good machine washing. I truly appreciate all the tips and photos that get posted by everyone.

BTW...can I move into your closet? I promise to return any "borrowed" bags!!! :graucho:

just amazing !!! enoy her!! love this style of bag.

I did read that a few months back. I think their product lines are still over all very good. I just wouldn't send in repairs based on what I figure is their skill has become overwhelmed by the flood of repairs and help we gals need. And when you pay thousands for high end bags, you are desparate to maintain and restore those bags!! I'd still buy ( and plan to buy) their cleaners and moisturizers, etc. but thank goodness vintage Coach is built to last and cheap to maintain and clean!! Takes the stress off
