We were at the mall on Saturday, and we went to Coach, and then to Godiva. My husband pointed at the display case and said "look honey, Coach Signature lining chocolates"....

that's awesome! Yeah, my husband will comment on the purses he sees ladies carrying when they come to shop in the camera store where he works. I love that he notices. In fact, a year ago I revealed a Gorgeous- like MINT- Station bag that an elderly man brought into the store (yes ..man LOL) who was using it to carry a pair of binoculars. He wanted to see if they'd buy the binoculars since my husband's store buys and resells used gear too. My DH says " Sorry, we can't use the binoculars, but how much do you want for that bag LOL" ...because he RECOGNIZED it, KNOWING I'd want it!! ...so, he got it for me....for $20!! It was gorgeous!!. We are training our men well :D

Wow, I bought 2 new Balenciaga City bags last fall, and ordered a kit from LMB especially for Bals. I was concerned about the handles turning darker from use. I have never used the kit, and am now leary about using it. I love the Blackrocks, so that might be my go to from now on. I have a quick question, am going to a Coach outlet tomorrow, and I have 3 bags I need hangtags for. Do I have to take the bags with me, or are the serial numbers all I need? Thanks Ladies!

I"ve never gotten them from an outlet. I always assumed they only did it at FP stores, so I'd love to hear what happens when you go. But at the FP store, The SA there is super awesome, and I just told her I needed a brass hangtag and she gave it to me. She said they don't keep all colors all the time and Jax is better for matching things. IF you are needing 3, it might be a good idea to just run into the store with the bags and quickly show them to the SA's there. I"d probably even call ahead and be sure of their policy there.

You can just ask the ladies, and usually you don't need the bags or the serial numbers, just ask nicely and maybe take one of the bags with you...

Hi there! I found a couple of beauties on our Community FB site. It looks like at least one of them will need some rehab. Does anyone know anything about these bags? I am going to go look at them tomorrow....

Thanks a bunch~ Jill

They look to be in good shape. I don't own these styles specifically, and many models get faked, so if you want to avoid buying a possible fake, try to get a photo of the inner creed patch/style# and have the authenticators take a look at them. Unlined leather dark bags are generally pretty easy to clean and fix up though. I usually take my smart phone/android with me and I'll input the style # onto either facebook, or just google it in general if I want a quick answer as to whether the style #'s at least are correct. That increases my chances of not getting a fake bag more quickly. Then I will do thorough photos for the authenticators on here to take a look at

Thanks for the info, Jessi!! I will do that! I also think I have found a few of the style numbers on ebay. :)

Wow! She is breath taking! Glad you got her the way you want her

I posted the before and in-progress pics a few days ago (http://forum.purseblog.com/coach/coach-rehab-and-rescue-club-624452-188.html#post21825423) and now the reveal!

Finished up with a couple of rounds of Leather CPR and black acrylic touch-up on the strap edges...she's ready to return to the world! I've always loved this bag...the leather is really light and soft, compared to my others. Now she'll be my go-to bag!

Thanks everyone, as always, for your kind comments, inspiration and encouragement on my rehabs...I truly love this forum!

Congratulations! Enjoy your new grandson

I've mixed acrylic paints with ArmorAll Gel, Leather CPR or Lexol. The amount of paint to conditioner is up to you, but for an overall light application, I've done 50/50 or maybe a little less paint. Either conditioner worked well for me, the gel is a little richer, Lexol a little thinner. I've used t-shirt scraps to apply to the body of a bag or little sponge-tipped eyeshadow applicators for piping. Good Luck...hope this helps.

Oh, and I have a grandson named Liam!

I'm glad one of us got that one. Hope you love her, and can't wait to see pics

lol-I can't believe I paid that much for it but I was looking at the online sale and debating a couple bags, and I had that on my watch list, and essentially decided that I would have more fun with the vintage bag, and set up a bid for around what I would have paid if I'd bought one of the new bags. He's already sent a tracking number, I hope I get it Saturday but I'm kinda thinking it will be at least Monday.

I hope it's awesome, I'll post pix either way. :)

I have a suggestion... she's kind of a tan colour, right? What about a tan coloured wood stain?

wow, that came out great! were the brown and black "in progress" pix after the acetone treatment?

I'm still thinking about what to do to my trash can city bag to kick her up a notch. She's serviceable but not beeyootiful. I was thinking today that if I don't come up with a plan for her she may end up being a handy way to store and transport my leather care products, but I don't think it will come to that.

Oh my goodness! What a collection, and we get to see all those other rehabs too. Hooray! Is that a lilac coloured bag in the rehab section? I'm still in awe here.

I just didn't have the energy to drag them all out for a formal portrait today, so I shot 'em where they live...and did a little photoshopping!

The ones on the right side of the horizontal shelf have been authenticated (Hyacinth has been wonderful!) and rehabbed. The ones on the left (slumping) and most of the ones on the vertical shelf are in line for authentication and most will be rehabbed. And on the floor (which I had scrubbed just for them!), all but the Day Pack have been authenticated. Of those, only the Mercer Computer Tote hasn't had a bath.

Oh yeah, did I mention the belt collection? BeenBurned has graciously authenticated all of them over the last week or so.

Thanks everyone for teaching me how to care for this brood...there's lots yet to do!
