Where do you live that you have a lawyer actually say you can go for racial discrimination but the stores have a right who they serve-why wont he/she accompany you to the store with your bags for a refund? Also, the limit you mention-your ebay sauctions feature 2 that have quantity of 10. I am confused.

No, there is no problem with me returning things there, I just do not want to go back. But someone mentioned that would be the best revenge so I am thinking about it.

As for my listing. The 10 was wrong, I don't have 10 of those bags. I was in a rush when I listed them. I had like 4 left and I just took them back to the store last week. I did not buy them from COACH, obviously.

As for the limits. COACH has a 3 limit policy. And I always abided by that, the SA there made sure of it also.

I can understand if they don't want me to sell it on Ebay, fine then tell me I cannot purchase more than 1 a season, or whatever, but to tell me I can NEVER purchase again along with my husband is crazy! PLUS, I originally purchased them to ship to Taiwan, I can show you the heaps of receipt of bags I've purchased. I have purchased 100s of bags and I'd say maybe 20% I listed. And I don't think that is a crime. Their goal is to sell the bags and I did just that. I purchased it from them fair and square. I understand if not everyone sides with me and that is fine. I respect their policy, I just think it sucks that they couldn't give me the respect to give me a "heads up" or give me an exact answer why this happened.

So, I hope this clears up your confusion...

If you pay with cash, you have the right to refuse giving your information (phone #, address, whatever). Actually you have refuse to give it even if you dont pay with cash. Just in case coach ever comes out with something you have to have lol but if they treated me like that I wouldnt want to give them any of my $$.

Thanks for explaining, iliabags. I live in Singapore and once upon a time thought Coach was quite a high-end brand until I visited this site and a few other websites and have changed my opinion of them.

They sure don't know how to treat their loyal customers!

...they have a list in their back room of all the people around their area that are on the list. And I think it is in the computer system. My name, credit cards, and address, you know how they always ask those things?
Oh my God, that is like Soviet Russia! :amazed:

I was going to ask a US friend to buy me a Coach bag and post it, I won't bother now.

Count me in on the boycott, iliabags, that is just shocking behaviour towards an innocent person in the land of the free. I really mean it, I'm astonished.

Maybe you should have your lawyer file suit. You could always dismiss it later on. Or have your attorney write a letter stating that you will be filing a suit and that this information will be released to the press.

Too bad you aren't Oprah.

 i have never been a coach fan because I think they are over-priced and the quality doesn't justify it. I don't understand why it's so popular in Asia either~ but aftering hearing your story I know I will never step a foot in that store either. I think you should go in to that store with that rude manager and return EVERYTHING at once. They don't respect you as a customer, you don't need to respect them either~ g'luck with that, let us know what you end up doing!~

huh. That's weird that they did that to you.

Still, it would be decidedly unethical to sue them for something they haven't done ( descrimination.) Revenge isn't worth that much. :)

Sounds like they don't want your money anymore. If it were me, I would return it all and never spend another dime there. Their bags are practically mass produced anyway.
There are better bags out there, go get em!!!!

No, I would never do that (sue them for discrimination). My lawyer only said that to prove that the only case we'd have would be something as rediculous as discrimination. I think suing is rediculous. I have plenty of people suing me now and even their lawers told mine that they are just being vindictive.

I am just going to walk away.... You guys have been so wonderful and so supportive, I have finally been able to just let it go. Usually just the thought of them makes my blood boil and getting it off my chest and having everyone's support has helped me get past it. I cannot thank all of you enough!!

I just thought everyone should know that if they do "stock up" at COACH for family and friends, this may happen! :)

I once worked for a company that stopped people who bought a ton of product over and over. They did it because these people were setting up overseas black market "shops" that looked like theirs and re-selling the items.

Hey, you have "plenty" of people suing you? Drama!! ;)
Your story sounds like it's straight out of The Bold and The Beautiful:p
