Are you saying you spend 12.000$ a month on Coach products, and then resell them to a country which apply a greater tax to their product?
Could they have banned you because they considered you a reseller?

I'm trying to understand... If you stayed within their limit of 3 per style as you said then do they really have a right not to sell to you? Wouldn't that be illegal of them?

oki dokie, I got 2 new speedies this month because of ya all....
actually from 2 PF members! :)

I will have to find my skinny pants and have hubby take the photos! :)

Thank you for cheering me up! I really needed it. I was a bit embarrassed of the situation though I knew I did NOTHING wrong!

They can call me what they want. I did not set up a store or anything.... I spent about $5-8K a month sometimes more...

Like I said, I would ship it to my family in Taiwan, I have 10 aunts and 4 siblings, not to mention a gangful of cousins....

I would give it to them and they would repay me. Haven't you had a friend pick up something for you? That's all. It's really not that much since each bag keeps going up in price.

YES, I ABSOLUTELY bought only their limit. I was very careful of this.

Is it resaling.... I think if I set up shop or something. But I did not. I would pick up things for my family, their friends would ask for some. Like I said, I never marked it up. It was just therapeutic for me to go on these shopping sprees even if I didn't keep any of it.

GOOD QUESTION... Can they do it?

I took the letter to my lawyer...

They can do whatever they want in their stores he said. I can file for racial discrimination but stores do have a right to who they serve.

But what bothers me is that they just weren't up front with it until it was too late.

And then NO ONE will help me understand why.

And the consequence is so severe, nothing like just a cut back. But NEVER AGAIN am I allowed to go or my husband and friends (if I am with them).

You think I did something illegal like shoplift...

oh, well....

I feel better already, I don't need them! They are two faced to me.

I'm asking this because for instance in france it is illegal to refuse to serve someone. If someone wants to buy then they "have to sell".
Since ok you bought plenty of stuff but stayed within their "rules", how can they deny you their service? I mean, from a legal point of view?

On the other hand, I've heard of Hermes refusing to sell to people who resell on ebay, but then again they might have a certain rule which states how many bags you can buy.

That's interesting, although unfortunate for you of course.

That truely is horrible customer service! LV would never do that to a customer and the no comment thing is making me even madder! No common decency at all! I really hope you feel better!

Ilia, I agree that you should call your local news. Coach is so ubiquitous that it would probably a good news story. If this is there policy, they should let people know.

I really want to find out what is going on here too, I think Coach really at the very least owes you an explanation for their terrible conduct.

Maybe I'll try to write to them and find out for you :)

I really don't think much will make you feel better. I just wish you would have been given the courtesy to speak to someone at corporate. Isn't that why they are there?
You should contact Oprah...maybe she would do a nice little story.
I don't know if you know this, but I have also heard many times that Hermes limits how many bags an individual can buy in one year as well. Just their policy. Though it is much harder to walk in Hermes and buy up bags week after week because they just don't have them.

It would make a nice story to be investigated if you could get someone to listen and investigate. No co. likes negative publicity!

I think it's probably a good idea that you try contacting the press about the situation--unfortunately, that's the only way to battle a large corporation like Coach.

Like someone else said earlier, you've probably been banned because they view you as a "reseller" rather than someone who's purchasing for personal use. Although you're buying for family--that's the way they see it... And there's not much you can do about it. I would do some research, write to the CEO/President of Coach, and very succinctly explain your position and how you're very disappointed in a store that was once your favorite. There's not much else you can do...
