I really don't think much will make you feel better. I just wish you would have been given the courtesy to speak to someone at corporate. Isn't that why they are there?
You should contact Oprah...maybe she would do a nice little story.
I don't know if you know this, but I have also heard many times that Hermes limits how many bags an individual can buy in one year as well. Just their policy. Though it is much harder to walk in Hermes and buy up bags week after week because they just don't have them.

It would make a nice story to be investigated if you could get someone to listen and investigate. No co. likes negative publicity!

I know I have had miserable luck this past year. If I could make it to Oprah, that would be so cool! :) Boy do I have stories to tell....

Actually, I just called another store manager right now, he has been asking questions for me. He just told me that he is no longer allowed to talk to me. Funny huh? I asked, "don't you ever press about these policies? Don't you want to know so you can explain them to your customers?" He was like it is not at the "store level. It is all done on a corporate level" oh, well....

I rather think about how I am going to get on Oprah! :)

Guess what?! Saks does that too..Someone I know was refused to ship to her house..(she is a shopaholic that makes even me look good!)(LOL!)she apparently met her quota..and she doesnt even sell!!LOL!
I have just stopped shopping there as I am totally disgusted by the thought of being told I spend too much in their STORE?????????!!LOL!

Wow. I am utterly stupified by these posts. I never knew that even Coach had a limit for the number of bags you can buy for anything. I mean.... it's COACH!!!! I can sort of understand for other lines like Hermes or Hermes... or Hermes... but COACH?? That's so strange! Where did this elitism come from??

^^^Even the whole bit about SAKS. I didn't know you could buy too much. Are these companies afraid that you are going to go bankrupt and then sue them for driving you to spend too much with their adorable purses??? It reminds me of the whole gambling bit a long time ago.

I can see if they saw you as a reseller as a reason to ban you. Corporate may have seen you as trying to get around local taxes, etc... but if they're for your family, it sounds a bit excessive... I mean... how do they even know that?? Either way, I agree, they should just tell it to you to your face vice this subterfuge. It's in poor taste. Probably worried that someone will say the wrong thing and then get sued.

uh...why can't you just go to a different Coach store and pay cash?
unless they have WANTED posters with your photo on them posted in every store

ROTFLMAO! Can you picture that! Do not sell to this woman! She buys to much! LOL
Not making light of your situation but that is funnY!

I've heard several people being banned from the Coach Outlet in Reading, PA. If you spend too much, they can ban you from shopping there. Coach looks down upon resellers making money off of the stuff Coach couldn't sell or never made it into the stores.

I can understand when stores put limits on the number of any given style per customer. That way everyone who wants one has a chance to get one. However, it doesn't sound like you violated those limits. It's ridiculous what they did to you.

baaaah!!! that's crazy that now SAKS is doing the same thing!!! I know that a lot of chain stores have started keeping track of RETURNS to keep people from stealing stuff then returning it for money. Express, for example, asks for your liscence any time you do a return and "reserves the right" to prohibit you from returning items once you reach your -- undisclosed -- limit.

excellent point!!! That's an awesome way to get around the system, although it doesn't sound like ilia really wants to buy more coach at this point...

I have heard of banning in coach outlets too. They are trying to prevent ebay selling. If you are caught selling an item on ebay purchased at coach for that purpose they won't sell to you again.

This is crazy. Coach banning thier customers? They should be happy that were getting $1500 from you a week. You did the right thing by taking your money to LV.

Saks.com and NM.com have a policy that a customer can not buy 3 or more bags in a 30 day period if the bag is in high demand. At least they let you know when you're buying the bag instead of handing you a letter.
