Has anyone used Collonil for white patent leather? I heard that it works well to prevent color transfer and to keep the bag white but I'm afraid to try. I purchased the one that you rub on (I couldn't find the spray). Has anyone had good experience with this product and how should I apply it and what is the recommended number of coats?
thanks so much.
(btw, the bag in question is the small white patent micro-cannage Diorama)

It's beige.

I suggest taking it to Dior and asking if they can clean the bag for you.

You can also take it to a cobbler/leather specialist, but being snakeskin, some specialists may refuse to clean it because they may not have experience with snakeskin, or because they're afraid that they may ruin it.

Hi everyone,

I bought this bag a month ago and used it about 4times. I've noticed that the leather is peeling off!!!
its imprinted and the little circles are peeling off everywhere [emoji33]

I am so upset right now. Would saks dior take it back? Is this common with this type of leather?

This is my first dior bag and very disappointed in the quality... [emoji24]

This is not so much an issue with quality as it is with the delicacy of the material. This appears to be a problem with the metallic perforated micro-Cannage bags. It doesn't happen to every bag. It depends on how it's worn. On yours, it appears at areas of stress like the edges and corners which are prone to wear and tear.

Metallic leather, especially with a mirrored finish, can show peeling and discolouration easily, regardless of the brand. The fact that it has been stamped/perforated also means that the surface integrity is weaker, making it more prone to the peeling that you are seeing on yours.

Bring it back to Dior at Saks. This has happened to at least two members here and Dior has reimbursed both members in full in store credit (which I think is great considering that it's a chance to get a brand new bag, or even upgrade to a pricier piece).

Thanks for replying!

Do you know if there is a leather cream that I can use on it?

Does the calfskin have a special finish (i.e. metallic or pearly)? If so, then don't apply any products on the leather.

Even if the calfskin does not have a special finish, you don't need to apply cream on it. The cream can get stuck in the creases or even the grain of the leather, and then dry up to form lightened spots.

Contact the Dior boutique to see what product they recommend specifically for your Be Dior. I personally would spray a water-repellent spray on the bag, but it may leave marks on lighter-colour leathers, so it's best to ask Dior first, and then test it on a spot on the bag that is hard to see.
