Cleaning, Care and Repair of Your Dior

Oh noo , I did suspect that the straps could cause these issues. I was travelling and did some fast walking wearing it crossbody and felt the straps were kind of touching the handles constantly.

I did also go to the dior store and asked how to attach the straps the right way. And I asked them if whether the straps could make some damage to the handles , but the SA told me she did not think so but if it did dior could replace the handles.

But I am thinking.. can they usually replace handles of seasonal colors? Not that I want to replace then now as the scuff is very minor, but just for the future.

Did you get a color touch up at dior? 😍

I recently did a colour touch up at Dior because the leather on the bag strap and charm started to oxidise and change its colour. It is not free though, I had to pay and waited almost 6 months for the bag to be ready.

I always have issues with my Lady Dior though I am always careful with my bags.

It looks like a scuff caused by friction with the bag strap. My Lady Dior had the same issue as well. A colour touch up is required. 🥲

And what, I thought oxidising would be an quality issue, so they should do it complimentary. But again, how much was the cost for these repairs? Did they not change the charms rather than fixing it? And 6 month sounds like a lot, how unfortunate !

My Lady Dior is in the Fard color 🥹 I live in a humid country hence the reason why it’s not considered a quality issue. They changed the charms and also touched up on the necessary areas. I paid around 600 bucks!

I would skip this. But I’m not good at DIY. I might feel better about it if the bag was leather and I could consult an experienced third party leather professional. However, the cost of professional cleaning and restoration may negate any savings. Tagging @cowgirlsboots who is an absolute genius re restoration

ETA: I googled this link (but the varying instructions sound exhausting, and apparently it’s essential to know what caused the stain and time is of essence)

JMO, I'd pass on this. This discoloration could be difficult to treat & unless you are an expert
or perhaps willing to wait months for Dior to repair this with likely no guarantees that the color
will be what you expect, I'd put my money into a bag that is in better condition
