@averagejoe I’ve been reading your lighter fluid tips for removing brown glue stains. Should I do that for a silk beaded Dior? The silk pink lining is sewn seperate & glued to the backing of the beadwork textile to make the lining. it’s opening up & needs to be reglued. brown oxidized is showing thru beadwork textile on outside also, how would you best go about removing old glue & any left over visable bleed thru discoloring thats showing around seams of teg beadwork top half? Ps Vestiaire Authenticated this but doesn’t the stamped tag look off to you? & shouldn’t limited editions have the 2-3 digit number on the metal plaque? Thank you! View attachment 5981414
Do not use lighter fluid on fabrics like this to spot remove the glue. It can spread the glue even more. Leather is less absorbant than fabric so the ligther fluid works on it.

Not sure about the authenticity, but this bag was reissued and nothing looks wrong with it thus far except the horrid condition!

Can anyone tell me if their lady dior has a strong smell like a shoe store smell. I bought a micro blue lady dior from ebay and also got it authenticated here.
But is that smell due to tanning process?
How long till it goes away. Should i air out the bag by keeping it outside the dustbag?
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Going into Dior boutiques I don’t smell strong leather smell, so my LD/djoy/leather mini book totes don’t it have either, but if I get really close there is a faint, pleasant leather scent. I don’t think having a strong odor is normal but my bags are all newer so I will let others chime in!

It looks like some type of permanent stain (like a black Sharpie?). You can try using a Q-tip with a bit of rubbing alcohol to see if the stain comes off, but be careful not to get the alcohol on the leather/suede. Also, test it on a small part of the stain before applying it to the entire stain. The alcohol should not damage the coated canvas.

Hello, went to a restaurant on Friday and the waiter dropped a spoon on me with chorizo hot sauce. Thought he only got it on my skirt and just realized on Sunday that the sauce got on My Dior mini bag in latte cannage lambskin. I managed to wipe it from the leather with my dog’s paw wipes, however the stitching still has some yellow residue. Does anyone have any helpful tips to clean the stitching? Also the bag is fairly new, got it in April, the leather under the dior letters constantly turning blue from the big O letter I think. Any tips to avoid this issue?

Unfortunately, stitching is very difficult to clean as it is absorbant. You can try applying white paint very, very lightly and finely (i.e. with the tip of a sewing needle) on the affected area while being careful not to get it on the leather. This may make the yellow residue less noticeable.

Sorry this happened to you. A waiter once dropped a greasy fork on my Dior Gaucho bag, and pretended it didn't happen! I was livid! The leather got a grease stain that now looks less noticeable after some cleaning.

Hi, has anyone experienced something similar with Saddle bag?

I rarely use my Saddle bag—only for events or the occasional dinner. Recently, I noticed some glue coming off from the side of the bag. I believe it’s glue because I had the same issue with my Book Tote a while back. Earlier (which 2 years ago) The boutique confirmed it was glue on the book tote and accepted a return, as the bag was only a few months old at the time. The texture and color look exactly the same in this case of my saddle. I bought the Saddle bag two years ago, and I’m quite disappointed now to see the yellowish side at the bag. Eyesore for me! Not sure what I should do now—any advice?

It is definitely poor quality glue used by Dior in making their bags. I sent my glue stained Diorama in (together with the glue stained book tote) to the boutique. Still waiting for a response.
I was offered a replacement just like others for the book tote, and I’m expecting the same for my Diorama.

Can anybody help me figure out whether the long mark on the handle (left side) is a scratch or peeling? Or what is it? (First 3. Pictures)

Also there is this small dot spot, that was white-ish, and then I took a babywipe and wiped over it, and the tiny spot turned dark :panic:(last 3 pictures)

I know its very minor, but now I am so scared to wipe the bag down after using it.

Thanks beforehand.

:amazed:Oh noo , I did suspect that the straps could cause these issues. I was travelling and did some fast walking wearing it crossbody and felt the straps were kind of touching the handles constantly.

I did also go to the dior store and asked how to attach the straps the right way. And I asked them if whether the straps could make some damage to the handles , but the SA told me she did not think so but if it did dior could replace the handles.

But I am thinking.. can they usually replace handles of seasonal colors? Not that I want to replace then now as the scuff is very minor, but just for the future.

Did you get a color touch up at dior? 😍

I recently did a colour touch up at Dior because the leather on the bag strap and charm started to oxidise and change its colour. It is not free though, I had to pay and waited almost 6 months for the bag to be ready.

I always have issues with my Lady Dior though I am always careful with my bags.
