If you just hang your scarf in a well ventilated place eg on the line providing its dry of course the smell will disappear really quickly, I have done this loads of times with vintage scarves sadly doesnt work with nicotine aromas though they do need to be cleaned.
I have the same scarf it's a lovely one

Thank you! I am hoping this will do a trick then:-)
(It is a beauty!)

I have a Mulberry Rivington handbag which I believe is oak Havana leather. I have used her every single day for four and a half years so she must be doing something right!
A short while ago she had a horrible accident and had a small amount of candle wax spilled on her. Does anyone know if it is possible to remove this or at least make it less noticeable?
I would also welcome advice on how to give the leather a general clean.
Thanks for any replies. Can post pics if necessary.

Not sure about the candle wax but I have an oak rivington and use the furniture clinic cleaning kit ondrea has posted above on it- it cam to me preloved and it has revived the leather a treat- I now use it on all my bags

Hmmmm I tried the perfume and now there is a black mark on the bag...bit reluctant to touch it anymore in case I make it 10x worse :(

Should I try the nail varnish or have I done enough damage??

Perfume is meant to absorb, acetone evaporates so i would hazard a guess that perfume would spread it around rather than remove it? I would still try a tiny bit of acetone on a cotton bud pat it and see if any of the colour comes out on to the bud in which case it would work, if it isn't showing a reduction maybe call the furniture clinic and ask if they can suggest a product to use, I know they would be able to get rid of it for you but they also might maybe offer you the product that does it?

Hi, I am still quite new on here but noticed some of the excellent advice and I am in desperate need ...

I have managed to get my patent lily stained quite badly by another bag. It was my brown Holly (was away and my kids were playing with my bags dress up - arrgh - my mother had no idea about the bags worth) so they were crammed back in the wardrobe on top of one another not in the dust bags. It like its been stuck to the Holly (and its the front!) and the brown has transfered onto the patent. :faint::faint: The Holly is not at all visibly damaged though.

I have treated all my bags with collonil so many times but the patent I hadn't. I usually baby the bags so this has come as a shock.

I have the lack polish which was recommended in store when i bought but thats done nothing, I have tried quite a few things in desperation but can't shift the brown. Its noticeable and I know that if i can't improve it I will not use it again and then feel guilty.

So any ideas gratefully received on removing stains from a patent?!

Hi

My first Mulberry ( we're talking when Mulberry was tartan-esque inside) has started to come apart on the strap where it joins the bag. I'd like to get the repair done properly - it was my first prezzie from my hubby so its got huge sentimental value.
Is there a specialist repairer anyone uses in the UK?
Thanks in advance
Jules

Good question! Mulberry themselves don't like to repair the older bags (because the leather becomes fragile with age, I was told by an assistant) so I've taken my bags to the local shoe repairers in the past - this is in pre TPF days of course;). I'd like to know if there's any specialist repairers who don't charge a fortune.....

What do you use to nourish your bags. I always use Collonil spray to protect but quite fancy getting an older bag in Darwin and wonder what to actually use to feed the leather and build up a good sheen

I also have Collonil gel but there is no mention that this also feed only protects

I use both Furniture Clinic conditioning cream and collonil gold.....

I also have the locked purse and it has gotten a few little dingy areas. What should I use to keep the cream colored bag from picking up just surface dirt and if it does, should I just clean with a damp paper towel? I have coveted this bag a long time and want to keep it looking as nice as possible. Thanks.
