Thank you for your response!I used the leather gel on my 17 year old elgin. I think the cream would be just as good.

Thank you for your recommendations!I use leather conditioner (lotion) on my leather goods. I’ve never used the Mulberry brand though, so I can’t comment on it. I use either Apple brand conditioner or Chamberlains. Just make sure to use a clean soft cloth to buff a thin layer on. Let it sit a few minutes, then buff off with a clean side of the cloth.
Thank you for your reply! I look forward to hearing how it goes for your AlexaI’ve just bought the Collonil delicate cream for my dry Alexa (it’s a 2010 leopard Alexa that I’d stored and forgotten about over the pandemic), will report back once I’ve used it.
I think the wax would be more like a waterproofing top coat - I’d be sure I’m happy with the look of the leather before I’d use it as it will seal in any imperfections - I’ve never used their products I use a cream or gel to moisturise but always try on a small hidden area first
Thank you for your update. Your Alexa looks beautiful!I’ve done one coat on the front/back/bottom & it’s made a huge difference, haven’t tackled the inking/sides yet and you can see they’re still a bit dry. Thumbs up on this from me, it’s thinner and more watery than the standard collonil cream, but I’m finding that makes it easier to work with.
This product is really good for patent leather. I use it on all my patent (shoes, bags, etc). It’ll condition and prevent cracking and peeling. Was wondering if anyone has experience of how mulberry patent ages? I’ve got a wrinkle patent lily that I’ve had for I think about a decade & noticed today that it’s feeling a little tacky, does anyone have a patent bag that’s older? Do they peel eventually?

I use Saphir products on all my bags and shoes, so I am sure this will be a success. I know Mulberry and Collonil is “tied together “, but I must admit I don’t like the results I get or the smell of Collonil. Saphir is a better choice in my opinion. If you do get it take note they make a neutral and black. If your bag isn’t black make sure to buy the neutral which is clear.
