Yes it is a Roxanne Tote. I’m happy for it to go darker if it gets rid of the patchiness so I might give it a go. Thank you.
Some ladies here have (bravely!) immersed their rescued bags in water then treated intensively with leather creams while drying. Obviously the finished colour is unpredictable, but they usually end up several shades darker with a uniform finish

I got a grey iris small size in the sales. I don't do pale coloured bags. When I got it I sprayed it with Mulberry's water protection spray. Wore it last weekend, forgetting that my jeans were new. Well you can guess what happened. I'd worn the bag on my shoulder and the back of it was stained blue from colour transfer from my jeans. I could have screamed! I found a lint free cloth and remembered I had a Handbag Clinic spray cleaner - lightly sprayed the cloth and then wiped my bag, well would you believe it, it came straight off! So a massive thumbs up to both products, and a reminder not to wear light bags with jeans!

Got a very much pre-loved Bayswater from a New Zealand selling site.
Authenticated here by our wonderful Authenticators.

She was in relatively good condition for a bag that had been well used for years and in storage for more.

So decided to do a dunk and give her a gpod clean.

I know we have a cleaning thread for Mulberry but wanted to she how easy it was to do and how well it came out.

First off the befores showing all her faults. I do need to repair her handle but thats an easy fix.

Wanted to follow up on your informative post from 2021 as there are not many posts on dunking Mulberry bags. I just received a secondhand Bayswater tote and while the exterior leather is in great shape, the interior suede has some areas needing cleaning, such as broken/melted peppermints stuck to the suede. I am sorely tempted to dunk it as it seems thick and resistant like the heavy Coach bags from years ago, several of which I have dunked and cleaned up. Do you have any additional tips?

I would remove anything stuck to the suede ad much first. Maybe a very gently picking away and use a suede brush or suede eraser in-between.
You could always post photos to the Coach Rehab and Rescue thread.
I believe I was very lucky with my dunk.
Some of the other gals on the thread might have ideas which could work better or differently.
Many heads make light work.

Yup, I started tonight by vacuuming it out and using a toothpick to gently pick off as much dried on material as I could. That has already improved things a lot. I am going to hold off on anything more for the time being till I get more ideas.

I wouldn’t dunk it if the exterior is in good condition. If the problem is with the suede interior you could probably get away with sandpaper! Start carefully with a coarse sandpaper on the stains and then with a smooth to finish off/ blend in.

Exterior is in very good condition - quite impressive given how the interior was grungy. Here are some photos. I am being careful around those pale spots because it seems like the suede has worn down there - at first I thought they were stains but it actually feels flatter there. Edited to add: you know, I think those white patches are hardened candy also and it’s matting down the suede. Going to work on it carefully!

I wouldn’t bother cleaning more, I would just buy a bag liner! Congratulations on a fabulous bag!

My daughter had an accident when she took my Ant to a concert, the stain was impossible to bend away even if in my experience bending a stain will make it fade. I dunked it, in the washing machine at 30 degrees silk/wool cycle. Dried her out slowly and nourished a few times. Came out really good, last pic after second round of nourishment.

I recently purchased a pre-loved small bayswater clutch in Chocolate NVT and the leather is looking a bit dry and in need of a little love. I am thinking of conditioning the leather but I have no idea where to start. Would love to know which of these three products would help? Or if anyone has any other product recommendations? Many thanks :)

Also interested in this, as I have an Alexa which is a bit dry and I’m not sure what to do with it? I was thinking several coats of cream, but I’d be interested to know if anyone has any better ideas!
