Premium leather cream from Clarks to clean & nourish is good. BUT only use a little and buff off well. Although I have recently been using Colonil gel which nourishes and waterproofs and leaves no residue. It won't hurt to spray in addition to the gel - but again not too much in one go. Several lighter sprays rather than a drenching.
Hi. I'm a newbie here, and learning quite a lot, thank you.
I've read of Collonil Waterstop spray several times and I've decided to treat my Oak Alexa with it before first use. I want to ask if the hardware needs to be protected with tape prior to spraying, or just spray away?
Thanks in advanced.

Dont know if you had a reply, I also have a Oak Alexa, and the S A told me to just spray it will not harm the hardware... it says on care card to spray lightly (not to soak) let dry then re-spray
Have now done this on mine, and no probs :D
Hope this helps

Does any of you tried the "LOVING MY BAG" leather cleaner for your mulberry handbags!? Yes its correct LOVIN(G) with a G. I think its locally produced leather cleaner in the UK especially made for handbags. Sounds promising but too afraid to try it on my newly purchased beauties.

Hi,

I am looking at buying a conker heritage bays but it has a couple if stains where the owner's denim jeans rubbed against it. Do you think it is possible to remove the stains?

Thanks

would like to ask again the same question... Should I spray my OAK lily (its not spongy) with Collonil water stop spray? How many times should it be used to make it completely waterproof?

Please any reply would be really helpful.

Thank you

I know that spraying it will help keep it cleaner ad usually 3 times letting it dry each time to protect it :) x

Hi

Does any1 have any tips on portecting the high pebbled matte leather and keeping it structured? This is an extremely soft leather and is starting to slouch! I fill it every night, however, it still slouches and it starting to crease? I have seen threads about a cardboard at the base of the bag-Where would I purchase this from?

I think the next Bays I purchase will be a patent one, merely for the structure and maintenence of the leather; though I have just purchased the glossy fudge and pebbled beige in the sale, but one will be going back......with great difficulty!!!!!

Hi There,

Anyone have any advice or tips for cracked metallic leather maintenance? My Bays clutch in petrol has really dulled where it rubs against me. Any pointers gratefully received as I would like to bring her back to former glory!

Hello,

I am getting the Taylor Satchel in marshmallow white...it has been dispatched and is on its way....my question is:

what is the best way to keep it clean and not absorb clothing dye? is Collonil the absolutely best way? I have read that it may leave a yellowish tinge.....I don't want this to happen to my white bag ....

Hi Renabean. I have in the past removed denim dye from lemon Darwin with Colonil gel. However when I tried it on Foggy Grey Alexa it didm't have the same effect. Some ladies use baby wipes but I have read somewhere that these damage the leather due to the chemicals. I am surprised Conker Heritage Bays has suffered from Colour transfer. I have one but haven't used it yet.

Sorry that I'm adding to a very old thread, but my Antony Messenger has slight scratches on it (I bought off Ebay). It looks like it was done with fingernails and they are only very slight marks, but wondered if anyone could advise me if I should use a leather cream or not ?!?!? Any advice would be appreciated
