CL Authenticity FAQ: What NOT to Look For!

TPF may earn a commission from merchant affiliate

Such a useful thread, thank you! I have question, I'm not sure if it's appropriate to ask as it may just tip off the fraudsters, so apologies in advance if you need to remove my post.

Do CL shoes ever come with an authenticity card? I've never bought them retail, just on eBay, and have seen a few crop up recently with these cards. Generally the shoes in these listings look off so I figured the card might be a good way to spot a fake...

No they never come with these.

Please remember to keep the info in this thread very general and do not give away too much about how to discern fakes. Sadly, we have a lot of fakers lurking here and using this information to better deceive buyers. Thanks! Safe and happy shopping! :flowers:

Jet I don't know what TPF's policy is on this but is there any way to lock certain threads to members only? I understand that TPF is designed as a general resource but I have often wondered why the more sensitive threads can't be limited in such a way.

I'm betting if we did this they would make an account just so they could read it, if they don't already have accounts set up.

^^I thought of that but it's one extra hoop to jump through. As it is, anyone can read the forum without signing up. That's the main reason why I don't post any personal info or pictures - it's just an incredibly vulnerable site.

Called 'Christian Louboutin black leather simple pumps'.

I've been on the live chat thing and they tell me they receive the products directly from the manufacturers in France (they are based in Hong Kong) which cuts down on costs for them and enables them to sell them for such low prices. I can't help but be hopeful but think this has to be too good to be true.

Really sorry but can't seem to upload the large photos, but the link above takes you straight to them.

I'm not an authenticator but this is NOT a reputable site. For future reference use the authenticate thread and post your request in the format indicated:

Also, the official Christian Louboutin website lists all authentic retailers, including e-commerce sites:

This is a useful site for finding out more about the campaign against fakes:
