Yes, older Pigalle models have this elastic. They were supposed to prevent heel slippage, but from what I hear most people didn't care for them. Totally legit.

Thank you so much. The pigalles I bought last year didn’t have this and the pair I purchased from a site I use often does. It worried me.

I've noticed a new trend with fakes: the die-cut foam box inserts with unnecessarily fancy printed boxes.
Definitely falls under the what NOT to look for!
