I second that I would love to see alterations before and after pictures.
I also recall one of the ladies here bought the metiers lasage jacket with panels and a belt, and it would need an alteration? I would love to see the finished product too.

ack to you! Would you mind sharing a photo of how they altered your jacket? I also got this jacket and love it, but have been thinking i ought to take it in. I am just not sure how though, or if it is best with a relaxed and looser fit.

Does anyone know how much this Cruise dress with doves will cost? I really love this fabric and the high neck, but my SA hasn't got back to me yet. If the cost wasn't egregious (knowing Chanel it will be ), I was thinking of buying it for my rehearsal dinner next Summer.

When I inquired on this dress after the show, I was told the price is $24,450. Stunning dress, but steep!

@Brooklynite and @platanoparty, I'm sorry that I do not have modeling pictures of before and after. It was a size 42 and I usually take a 40 so it had to be taken in both at the shoulders and on the sides (it was quite boxy). I never found a 40 to try on so do not know how it might have looked on me, or whether it would have needed alteration.
I was told, however, that my alterations were more tricky to do because of the of the knitted material, but I felt that it turned out very well.

Your Rome jacket and Snowball's blue Greece jacket are my favorites. I was preoccupied with other things in life back then but now I realized how much I have missed! VV just doesn't make jackets like them in RTW now.

As much as I love the color and the lesage of the blue jacket, the cut of the Greece collection shoulders doesn’t flatter me .. the same with the other cream jacket from the same collection.
I have one lesage jacket from Data center collection that is perfect in every account.

As much as I want Chanel to succeed and be profitable, I'm hoping that it isn't primarily through the mega logo route (and truly ridiculous pricing).
As for how sales are going now or through the past summer, I only yesterday received my metiers "dalmatian" sweater jacket that needed to be taken in (bought the 3rd week of July)---and was told it was taking so long because the boutique had sold so much, they were incredibly busy, and they were backed up with alterations. This was from the a boutique in a city that is known to be pretty traditional, so kind of surprising to me, if much of their sales success is due to the logo mania.

That is very strange, this jacket was available in early June and late September in Berlin, Paris and Cannes. I know as I was debating buying it. In these boutiques I see at the floors last year Metier, this year Metier, last fall winter and the current collections all mixed up.

I picked up a sleeveless zippered top and dress from this collection, and felt the shoulder didnt comport (lie well against) my own shape even with it fitted to my own shoulder. the Greece shoulder made me feel broad and hunched over, IDK why. (I have a friend coming in Saturday to take stuff and theyre in the pile

I think this is not sustainable business model, usually they’ll be one time buyers, how many clothes with the same logo will they need?
I believe that they do not sell as much as they say, just creating a rumor that the collection is sought after. Based on the questions I get from SAs..

I agree, definitely not sustainable.
We’ll probably see these logo mania items at the next sale then..

With all this talk about the Paris-Rome jacket I decided to wear it today, I still think this is one of the best jackets in the recent years, that can be updated with new accessories.
It’s something that can be worn casually without pushing it too much and to special occasions. Now everything is either too casual/pre fall collection/ or very formal shiny, embellished looks / Metier d’art and fall winter collection.

you have the best collection Ari!
i tried on that coat you and snowball both have if you recall. the cut of the shoulders work great on me. (I didn't buy that coat because the condition was not "very good".) If you ever want to let go of the blue jacket you know who to call
