It’s basically a tunic top, so
color: Black (okay, not black, too waiter like) , navy, white, beige, taupe, olive

styles Cargo pants, cigarette pants, classic trousers, cropped loose pants; denim joggers; loose pajama pants (Turnbull and Asser makes some as does Dior) (brunello does a bunch of pants),

short skirts; long skirts either full like Dior or slim, but I think maybe a swing skirt or if you wanted to be a femme fatale, a dolce and gabbana bias cut ;

leggings (wolford makes some pleather ones) or vuori joggers lol

shoes: classic two tone ballet flats; all black designer collaboration Birkenstock’s, elastic leather stiletto boots (Manolo, Rossi), H flat sandals

as @pigleto972001 suggests but with chunkier boot, shoe boot or somethingo ground the tunic.

or (whispers) with shorts or over a bathing suit (i mix blue and black, so blue camo Dior shorts or black or beige moncler shorts) and a white sneaker. I wear birkenstock sneakers Or golden goose

I still buy designer shoes, but with designer RTW, I think a contemporary shoe or cheaper something, brings the look down to earth. Of course YMMV

hugs

hereare brunello pants that could work: beige twill cargos, brunello grey linen pants; and, olive high waisted pants; plus a pair of moncler shorts, all of which I wear with chanel tops to tone the chanel brand down. the pants and wolford hoodie are this season.

I've seen this dress. Material feels really soft and comfortable. It's a beautiful fall/winter colour and quite versatile.
I didn't try it on because they don't have large sizes, and my SA did say it's more of a body-fitted cut and probably too short for me :giggle:

TT I like how you styled the tunic. Really nice !!

I’m waiting to try a 40 in the dress. Hoping it doesn’t work for me and I save some moolah lol !

After trying and thinking about the black tunic - I actually went back to buy it - at first I wasn’t sure how to wear it but then decided it might be quite useful.
I paired it with the winter crop jacket which has a pink lining I the same pattern as silk jacquard of the tunic.
Unexpected but quite a fun set
I love this! You are stunning! And so is the combo!

All this post about this tunic is giving me FOMO…

Love the Dior skirts  and the hoodie idea !
Need to check that out !!!

Re spring I finally watched the show.
I of course loved the idea of the two tone cardigan. Hard to believe but I have yet to get a simple black cardigan. This may not qualify either. Loved the cute lilac skirt w the longer ruffle in back. And the shiny tweed was also pretty. I prob can’t do the jacket but the skirt looks nice. I also liked the print skirts at the end but one may need tights or a slip under ❤ I also liked the colorful set ms piggy posted

I like the second outfit. I mean the jacket and skirt.

I'm sure I have a American Apparel leotard that's a dead ringer (YSL did similar for Winter SS21).

TT, thank you so much for your input on the black tunic! It looks just fantastic w/black cropped jacket , and the linings match!
That jacket is so pretty but short, the way you have paired it makes it completely wearable. I am thinking how lovely this would be with your onyx/pave drop earrings!!
The jacket is short - true to size - this is a 36
I’m fairly tall but this jacket hits me at just above the waist and the cut surprisingly flattering on- it moves the eye to the waist, making it appear smaller (who doesn’t like that idea?)
Here is the jacket try on just with what I had on
Not a match but you can see the illusion in this photo
I’m going to add a pin to dress it up for the holidays
Am envisioning this jacket over a solid color or black lace evening gown for formal galas ….

TT, how beautiful are you!?! This pairing is smashing!

The long sleeve non t neck dress came in. It was super cute. It was super tight. And hot ! But cute under the cardi. I considered it but the wearability is limited by its length and the amount of leg that is exposed haha. I tried it w black tights as a tunic and i liked it. Just for the price I don’t know if I’d reach for it that often. It’s just super warm.

Posting the least offensive pic of the dress haha!
