Hi everyone, any suggestions on at-home dry cleaning for our Chanel RTW items? I started on this journey early this year; started wearing my pieces these days and I’m worried about going to regular dry cleaners…would love to know what you all do. Thanks so much

with my jackets I only send to specialized dry cleaners. Expensive, but I sleep better that way.
I tried home dry clean for a cashmere sweater and the color came out dull. I will not try it again.

Snowball
After trying and thinking about the black tunic - I actually went back to buy it - at first I wasn’t sure how to wear it but then decided it might be quite useful.
I paired it with the winter crop jacket which has a pink lining I the same pattern as silk jacquard of the tunic.
Unexpected but quite a fun set
Love this whole look - great figure and you carry this so well! Love the pink lining to give this an edgy look! A keeper I think! Might see if this is available in a boutique near me too !

way too afraid to clean any wool/cashmere knits and jackets by myself. I just ship it to a dry cleaner that has experience with couture/high-end garments, one that knows to protect the buttons and any ornaments. Everything else I just wash by hand with a gentle detergent.

My SA told me not to dry clean too often, only when absolutely necessary, since too much can potentially harm the fabric as well.

I find Chanel's main customer service to be pretty unhelpful (aside from locating items), and in most cases they usually just refer you to a fashion advisor at your preferred boutique.

I 2nd Brooklynite. I would print out all of the documentation that proves it was purchased from the RR, message an SA, and ask to make sure. I feel they would remove it.

I'm sorry you had this experience.
The Real Real has stores in the US, and it is likely that the anti-theft tag is from them, not Chanel.

I entrust my Chanel in every country I have lived in, to the cleaners Chanel (and Hermes) themselves use. It's the first question I ask when I start a relationship in a new country and a new Chanel boutique. When I began my small collection I knew that maintenance of these pieces required a little extra effort for my peace of mind.

This happened to me also. They didn’t respond to my email query. I ended up just cutting off the fabric care tag it was attached to. This was not a pricey item, however.

Thanks, I considered that, but the item was a few thousand dollars and I would not have bought it without the tags. Also it lowers the 'value' significantly, a value loss that should not be on my account, as it is clearly the TRR not checking its items before sending them internationally. I hope to find a solution that will not damage the item.

Thank you - I love it so much, too!
Hope you can try it - it’s very comfortable , thinking to add chunky Chanel boots to the look-

I think they'd look great. Will report back if I manage to try this on... certainly something that can be justified on cost per wear basis as it looks super comfortable and very wearable, dressed up or down and so many different ways! Thanks for the inspiration.

It’s basically a tunic top, so
color: Black (okay, not black, too waiter like) , navy, white, beige, taupe, olive

styles Cargo pants, cigarette pants, classic trousers, cropped loose pants; denim joggers; loose pajama pants (Turnbull and Asser makes some as does Dior) (brunello does a bunch of pants),

short skirts; long skirts either full like Dior or slim, but I think maybe a swing skirt or if you wanted to be a femme fatale, a dolce and gabbana bias cut ;

leggings (wolford makes some pleather ones) or vuori joggers lol

shoes: classic two tone ballet flats; all black designer collaboration Birkenstock’s, elastic leather stiletto boots (Manolo, Rossi), H flat sandals

as @pigleto972001 suggests but with chunkier boot, shoe boot or somethingo ground the tunic.

or (whispers) with shorts or over a bathing suit (i mix blue and black, so blue camo Dior shorts or black or beige moncler shorts) and a white sneaker. I wear birkenstock sneakers Or golden goose

I still buy designer shoes, but with designer RTW, I think a contemporary shoe or cheaper something, brings the look down to earth. Of course YMMV

hugs

hereare brunello pants that could work: beige twill cargos, brunello grey linen pants; and, olive high waisted pants; plus a pair of moncler shorts, all of which I wear with chanel tops to tone the chanel brand down. the pants and wolford hoodie are this season.
