Agree with everyone re finding a cleaner that does couture or high-end designer clothes. Mine removes all buttons before cleaning and then sews them back on (in fact one of my sweaters has that re cleaning instructions).Hi everyone, any suggestions on at-home dry cleaning for our Chanel RTW items? I started on this journey early this year; started wearing my pieces these days and I’m worried about going to regular dry cleaners…would love to know what you all do. Thanks so much

If you live in the New York area, tres bon in Alberton Long Island is a great one. I think they are the go to place for hirshleifer’s.

bag is custom, entirely hand stitched by Duret.com. Hides are H leather, chosen by me out of three choices. Even the dust bag was hand stitched leather, a work of art.

I agree - love seeing everyone’s modelling photos especially as clothes can be difficult to “decipher” until you see them being worn by normal people and not supermodels!

@cerulean blue, I liked your opinion ( I think it was yours) that it’s just a move towards exclusivity. Someone here once opined that chanel is trying to get to the Hermes level for bags.
what I found more alarming was the statement from the article, “Though Chanel has raised the prices of its most popular products three times already this year, their handbags are still a hot commodity amongst fashion luxury buyers.” Three price increases a year, wow.
since SAs get very little from selling a bag (versus RTW), I would imagine that they would prefer the best bags to go to regular customers who spend more in the desirable categories.

That’s crazy. Glad I’m not into coco handles and I have my jumbo from waaaaaayyyyy back. I was thinking of adding a tweed flap but the double flap medium large may not be a good size for me. Yes! My SA once told me they make exceptions of their limits for extremely loyal clients (like big RTW customers as you said), with manager's approval of course, but he says it happens often.

I also heard from my SA that in my location, each customer is only allow 1 bag per month, and I believe that this may include the popular smaller/micro bags. Then at the same I see those super VIP that buys a lot of RTW every seasons are able to buy over 3 popular bags during VIP preview. IMHO, it's even worse than the H game.
