It's more like hunting now......coco beach blouse and skirt were impossible to find....ended up getting a bigger size and altering it bc they were sold out....also the black Turnlock short card was also a hunt. I'm very loyal to my home store but sometimes they just can't get items, no matter how hard they try. It's nice to have a few SAs in other stores for that exact reason. I usually can get it from at least one of my contacts....
Agree. I have basically shopped across 3 stores in London, 3 in Bangkok, 4 in Asia and at Rue Cambon as a customer of about 14 years. This is mainly because of our moving all over and the convenience of shopping "locally". Overall the stores actually now carry less available/ non-reserved stock and prefer pre-orders. I can then see why policies have changed. I am personally ok with it as not adding Chanel to my collection as actively as I used to.

Is anyone getting told they now require you to ship back on your own dime? I am not too excited about paying a high shipping amount for insurance to ship something that doesn't work back. I am not going to be buying anything I haven't tried on before if that's the case.

I’m sorry to hear that. I haven’t heard anything from my end (yet)

Not yet. I had a Metier knit shipped in July and a label was provided for me.

No. Return shipping is free. I’ve returned 3 shipments in the past 2 weeks. I was provided a return label for each one. I don’t think they’d charge me though—I’ll get 2 sizes sent in shoes to be certain, so it’s known I’ll be returning (Canada).

In case it helps...

I've recently shopped more at Saks LV for RTW. I used to buy Chanel RTW from Saks but lately nothing was inspiring so I didn't make any purchase there. I wanted to share what I've experienced with LV because the same practice might occur with Chanel soon, if not already.

My Saks LV sales lately left. The reason is that inter-store transfer is no longer allowed. In the past, they allowed transfer with a full deposit. With few items to sell as transfer was no longer allowed, my sales had no option but to leave.
I changed my sales to the LV flagship store on 5th avenue and the accessibility is now totally different. More items on the floor and free transfer from other stores to try.

I suspect that the business has pushed these brands towards owned stores more than leased stores within department stores.
