Yes, they shortened the sleeves and made the neckline smaller. I don't recall the narrowed the shoulders. Hope you will get yours soon.
Shortening the sleeves is done from the shoulder seams. Because sleeves are constructed wider on the top then tapering down, the remaining shorter sleeves will have smaller openings against the body of the jacket. Therefore, the altered jacket will have smaller arm holes as a result.

I typically don’t share pics… but I love a good matchy match. Here are two of the items I purchased from the most recent launch… I opted not to get the matching dress… I am trying to avoid more suit sets I won’t wear. I also got some accessories and the sweatsuit set for ski season (look 46).
I LOVE this. Was it a sleeveless dress you can wear on its own? I have bought skirted suits from Chanel and rarely wear the skirt (unless it’s for evening).

But, I think a dress is a different thing :)

Would you be open to sharing a mod shot? I've also been eyeing this jacket and would be great to take a look before making my way to the store.

Yes. Sleeveless dress. I just wouldn’t wear it together and I wasn’t wild about wearing it on its own. I have a few skirt suit sets (no trouser sets) as well and I also almost never wear them together. I owned one for 3 years before I ever even wore the skirt.

So I quickly tried it on and I did snap a pic (I have no issue sending privately but don’t wish to post). I wish I had a better mod pic but I’m now not at that home for the rest of summer (we live between two cities)… I can send that pic to you and another in September when I return to that home. ETA: sent mod pic. I hope that worked correctly.

I have a question. I bought a size 34 jacket, which I fit in both 34 and 36. However, I feel like 36 would be better in the long run. So I asked another SA (in another branch) to check and she said she still has one in 36. I asked if I could exchange it, she said I had to return the 34 to get credit notes in order to exchange for size 36 from her. My question is, would my original SA whom I bought size 34 from lose her sales target or commission or whatever (I honestly don’t know). I still want to retain this relationship with her since she’s been so good to me. Any advice appreciated!

She would loss sales target for sure. You should tell her that you want to exchange it for a bigger size, then she can transfer 36 from another store and making an exchange.

It always happen to me in Thailand. When I spotted something in another branch, I would send reference number to her for transferring it for me.

Thanks for your insight! I have tried this and she said hot item cannot be transferred :( She has asked other branches every day and they just wouldn’t allow the transfer saying it’s been “reserved”.

She will lose the sales target. I think the relationship will be fine as long as you continue to shop with her. I used to think about things like this a lot but ultimately it’s a lot of money and you need to be 100% happy with your purchase and it’s a sizing problem (which you have approached her with and by her own admission she could not help with the problem).

Agree. Get the size that you feel is best. I bought a jacket in a size 40 from one boutique and took it to a closer one to have it altered. They talked me into getting a size 38, which I was really uncomfortable with but the seamstress and all the SA's said it was right. So I didn't have it altered right away and didn't get back until probably 9 months later. They charged me a fortune to alter and had I gotten the other one, there would have been a lot less that needed to be altered and the cost would have been less. Go with your gut.

Since your SA cannot transfer.

Ask the second SA to reserve the 36.

Text your SA that you really prefer the 36 and need to return the 34 as per process outlined by store 2.

Of course, she will want you to have the correct size. This is not a big deal at all.

So tell her straightforward that you preferred size 36 and want to make a return. If she is a good SA, she would make her clients happy with their spending. There’s a lot of things that you will make a purchase with her in long term. It’s just a jacket this time, not the jacket

Thank you to all of you for the advices. I ended up asking my original SA if there’s anything at all she could do, otherwise I’d have to return it as per my other branch’s SA’s advice. She said to give her a day to work it out. So I waited.. She came back to me and said she got management’s special approval to transfer the jacket (apparently as a bartered deal for future ‘hot item’ piece between stores). We both wondered why they couldn’t just do it in the first place without having a client and an SA doing all the “insisting” in order to take action. At this price point, one would expect asking for a transfer, especially due to sizing, shouldn’t be this difficult.
